Chamillionaire takes on multiple roles in two new videos from his sophomore album, Ultimate Victory. First he plays a perp — alongside old-school icon Slick Rick — who is arrested by the Hip-Hop Police. In ‘Evening News,’ the rapper is an anchor and field reporter, taking jabs at America’s idea of newsworthy headlines. Did anyone else get a Dave Chappelle vibe while watching ‘Evening News’??
Anyway, Chamillionaire’s new album, Ultimate Victory, is set to hit stores September 18th. Make sure you show some support, because both videos were dope and I’m sure the album will follow suit.
Chamillionaire – “Evening News”

75 I agree!
You people who keep on talking about how he looks or saying the song is wack need to shut the F*ck up and open your eyes and ears. Chamillionaire is one of my favorite rappers because he’s real, just like Nas. He’s new and fresh and is doing real hip-hop music and putting out a real message. He’s a wonderful example of an intelligent rapper. I thought the videos were very funny, kinda corny at times, but I still respect them. It was so funny when he said “You called me a n*gger boy” and then said “No I said Bigger” Chamillionaire is a good actor. I’m also glad that he doesn’t have any of these nasty ass hos shaking their ass all up in the camera! Now I only wish rap music would sound like this and the videos would have a positive message like this.
Now that the man has made a song about the “hip-hop” police, lol, now what? It’s not about identifying the enemy, it’s what’s your plan of attack against these people. In my opinion “hip-hop” police is a derogatory term. It implies that only famous blacks or “hip-hoppers” get harassed by the police. In reality, many of these rappers are working with the different police departments in conjunction with the FBI and CIA. That’s why they’re always getting arrested for publicity stunts (Ja-Rule & Lil Wayne) or go to court on these outlandish charges and get exonerated (Irv Gotti). Plus it’s good publicity for the rappers. It gives them “street cred” because most of these negroes aren’t about what they rappin’ about. That’s why they’re always getting extorted. It’s ironic that the man had Slick Rick in the video because Rick went to jail after he spazzed out when he kept getting extorted, and shot his cousin if I remember correctly.
The hip hop police is involved with surveillance and intelligence gathering of these “rappers”, not outright arrest for illegal activities. Alot of these cats “bodyguards” are off-duty, undercover, or retired police officers or trained federal agents. It’s a cointelpro program and the hip-hop cats are down with it because some of them are undercover federal agents their damn selves. Police harassment is a problem that the black and hispanic community has been dealing with in America as long as there have been police forces. It has nothing to do with no damn hip-hop. If the feds really do scale Eminem’s house like Chamillionaire showed in the video, it’d be for him being disobedient. Lol.
This shit is NOT hot!!! “Evening News” was digestable but “Hip Hop Police” is a corny as it gets!
I will most def be buying his next cd when it drops . The songs were hot with a good beat & message . lol I almost fell off my chair this video has no half naked women , no dance moves , no random dance scences , no fake sex/kissing scenes , no club scene , no alcohol and no annoying sentence(s) they keep repeating . this is what the game has been missing .
wow…im impressed with his point. On the “nightly news” vid.
so true, its good to see a rapper really understand there are more important things to talk about, and acknowlegde.
i never really listened to charmillionaire before but he seems alright.
Damn am I the only one who thinks he’s cute?
hot .btw @ 29 pretty_unique if that’s u . ur sexy as shit , ma
i love both of the songs and the videos. they were both funny. i haven’t bought an album in ages but i definitely think i might buy this one.
@#120 Funny, but so true. Thats why most of them can’t focus on nothing, but what he look like. He prolly speaking for the rappers that ain’t as big as 50 Cent or Jay’Z that don’t get off. But anyway good videos and cool songs.
Cham=WACKNESS!
who cares what his face looks like, mariah? at least he’s making a point. i think he looks just fine. this song had a lot of thought put into it, with no dancing girls that have become a standard in these videos. thank you for saying what a lot of us would like to say, but don’t have the power to do so. i support you all the way. this stuff is primo quality. keep speaking out for the rest of us.
CHAM HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST RAPPERS TO ME…CHECK EM BACK WHEN HE WAS WIT THE HOUSE….ALWAYS HAD CONTENT
That song and vid is serious. I’m feelin’ Cham and the way he’s changin’ the game in his own way. He has some actin’ chops there—not bad at all. I think he could make the crossover like Mos Def did. He has potential
