prince was not an outstanding singer; neither is sade but both made good music same with janet.
I think most people perspective on ‘singing’ is a little upside down anyways. If your not SHOUTING and doing a thousand and one runs on a song then everyone’s like oh they can’t sing. Or if your voice is not over the top and loud and obnoxious then it’s like oh they can’t sing. There is a huge difference between strainging your voice and actually singing.
Sade didn’t scream and shout and she had a deep voice. I think she can sing. The records she made are timeless and her sound was one of a kind.
Lea, I never said Ciara had to be a Whitney Houston nor a Sade . I heard Ciara peform many times and she still cant sing.
Unlike Ciara, Sade wasnt a powerful singer but she had songs like you said, classic, timeless. Honey, Sade can sing. I love her deep voice. Her voice has that soothing calmness vibe to it. Ciara cant even breathe while trying to sing a song and homegirl dont even be dancing.
