The problem I have with her statement is that she is stereotyping all men in the industry. By saying, “I’m not going to date these guys because I don’t want to be a number” means that she trying to distance herself from women who date industry guys, when it’s not inherently wrong to do so. I’m sure that not ALL men in the industry are whores & I’m sure neither she or her partner are virgins, so she IS in fact a number.

The point I’m trying to make is that I think we need to be careful when we throw stones. The same way she is stereotyping males in the industry for (whatever reasons) is the same way people stereotype her as being gay for (whatever reasons). Both are wrong and are hurtful.

So many people are in the closet because they know being gay is unnatural, the majority oppose it, and they could lose some of their fan base, which could affect their income- IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS. If that lifestyle was fine, there would be no “closet” to come out of. Most people in the industry dont seem to “come out of the closet “until they’ve made millions first, then they proclaim their gayness. You have issues. WHEN have I ever stated that the DL men were necessarily black? It never crossed my mind that DL equals to black, you’re the one obviously stereotyping here.
