Beyonce announced the Canadian launch of her “Dereon” junior clothing line in Toronto yesterday. Also there was her Mother and designer Tina Knowles, and Dereon spokesmodel Solange Knowles. All the ladies were decked out in the line’s current apparel, with Beyonce wearing the Dereon Nefertiti dress.

Ya’ll can say what you want about Bee but, her clothing line is doing pretty well. You see everywhere wearing it and alot of the pieces are cute in that Beyonce way. In the lastest Beyonce news, she is releasing a Spanish language EP on August 21st featuring select songs from B’Day – titled “Irreemplazable”
Um so Solange looks like shit but damn Beyonce looks hot as hell…How is she not on the top of all the hottest bodies in Hollywood lists dred

EVerything that these chics said when they were introducing the line was wrong. They said HOUSE OF DEREON would be AFFORDABLE. It is not.
They made all the hype that it would be unique and different from the clothes already out. IT IS NOT. It is just as tacky as other urban wear.
Beyonce made this big deal about how she cant find clothes that fit her as a curvy woman. These clothes dont do nothing for an average woman, let alone a curvy one. And many complaints about the sizing.
So what is HOD’s unique selling proposition, cause they cant even get the basics right???

I’ve never seen anyone in HOD. Maybe its only her fans that were the stuff. I’ve only seen them in a few stores in California and they were on clearance.

I wont knock the “Knowles Hustle” but I personally am not feeling the clothign that I have seen so far from the HOD line. Its looks cheesy in that 80 ish way ,likE somethiNg you would expect old school rap group JJ Fad to wear .lol”Supersonic” I could see a younger generation of early 20 ‘s and teens age group women wearing this,but not a mature classy /sexy lady! I can not believe so many people like this stuff, it is ridiculous. Beyonce is NOT stylish, and that’s just it. She has never worn anything even remotely fashion-forward. She accessorizes with the most obvious and oftentimes ill-fitting things. She clearly has the “as long as it’s designer, it’s cool” mentality, hence the HOD symbol plastered over everything, and her own constant matchy-matchy ensembles. I won’t even go into the clothes looking cheap, because she could have used the most expensive material available and still, having no sense of style whatsoever, come up with this mess. Beyonce’s dress looks like something a stripper would wear. It is incredibly dated in terms of style and cut (think 1980s…Pretty Woman). But her shoes, those gold heels are gorgeous.
Solange’s dress is actually cute. I don’t like the fabric of it. Is that lycra? And is it see-through? Not a good look. But the belt and the cut of the dress is cute. Her shoes are nice as well.
Tina’s outfit is atrocious. No 50 year old woman (except for maybe Liza Minelli) should be caught dead wearing that cut up sweatshirt. Literally, that is what it is. And are those leggings? SMH. Bad, bad, bad for Tina.
The Models – some of the individual pieces look good…but are common in that nothing is original. It looks like much of the same of what’s presented out there today.
I saw an add in a magazine for HOD’s Fall line (I think). Solange wore a nice shrug jacket that had a herringbone print. Beyonce wore a sweater dress, red and white striped.
HOD and Dereon, both have the potential to be good lines, but for the most part end up looking tacky and very hookerish. I see where the designers are going…they’re going for Vanity 6, circa 1985, but it’s not working.
I agree with a poster above who stated that these clothes only look good on Beyonce and even Kelly…but really, they only look good on Beyonce. This chick manages to make this hooker dress look remotely decent in those images above. But then it’s only afforded that small modesty because look who’s wearing it.
