I think the entire line is terrible and I agree with many of you here that the pieces look cheap..I feel that when celebrities come out with a fashion line, it usually looks cheap,slapshod and their designs scream—”Im in it for the money!!!”. I love high end designer accessories, shoes, and denim but this I would not buy. And I am not saying that I would not support our brothers and sisters–I am all for that–it is just my personal style. By the way if you are looking to support a true African American designer then you should check out Tracy Reese–she has a fabulous line of clothes and they are usually at Saks, Nordstroms, or NM. Also if you like over the top..try Rachel Roy–she’s expensive–but i think her designs are very innovative and fresh if you can pull it off..she’s found at BG’s and NM.

Beyonce’s dress looks like something a stripper would wear. It is incredibly dated in terms of style and cut (think 1980s…Pretty Woman). But her shoes, those gold heels are gorgeous.

Solange’s dress is actually cute. I don’t like the fabric of it. Is that lycra? And is it see-through? Not a good look. But the belt and the cut of the dress is cute. Her shoes are nice as well.

Tina’s outfit is atrocious. No 50 year old woman (except for maybe Liza Minelli) should be caught dead wearing that cut up sweatshirt. Literally, that is what it is. And are those leggings? SMH. Bad, bad, bad for Tina.

The Models - some of the individual pieces look good…but are common in that nothing is original. It looks like much of the same of what’s presented out there today.

I saw an add in a magazine for HOD’s Fall line (I think). Solange wore a nice shrug jacket that had a herringbone print. Beyonce wore a sweater dress, red and white striped.

HOD and Dereon, both have the potential to be good lines, but for the most part end up looking tacky and very hookerish. I see where the designers are going…they’re going for Vanity 6, circa 1985, but it’s not working.
