My mother side is largely mixed with Native American, my father side who is from the caribbean has indian (not native american) in them. My parents may not be all the way black but they considered themselves that. You dont have to be 100% of anything to be accepted. You are what you are and that’s all there is to it.

It annoys the hell out me why u have such a thing as Alek Wek to represent african women for those who have know real knowlege of such. Some of you should try to watch african movies, where there actors and actresses represent true Natural African Beauty.

Kimora really wasn’t visible to the General public until Russell Simmons, Beverly , Veronica and Liya have been on the cover of major magazines…Kimora modeling career is just a footnote…I think Beyonce and Rhianna have been on the cover of more fashion mags then Kimora. No they’re not. Their features are purely their own & naturally occurring. Somali, Eritrean and Ethiopian all resemble each other but Somalis are basically 99.9% free of mixing. It’s actually very difficult to tell them apart. In the past anthropologists were ignorant and labeled north-east Africans as black peoples with “Caucasoid” features but the most recent studies/tests show that these features/genetics actually originated first in these peoples and spread out to Europe and the MIddle East.

It was all ignorance. Now, I see her beauty, though.
