This black actress continues her downward spiral into severe drug addiction. First, it was the suicide attempt, the hospitalization in a mental ward and now this. Her reps manage to keep her scandals out of the press and mainstream media has no interest.
She was once offered $30,000 per week ($120,000 per month) pertaining to work but her devastating crack and meth habit prevented her from reaching this goal. On the first day, she showed up, agitated, twitching and high.
She and her male friend, who is also a crack addict spend all of their time in South Central crack houses. When they escape into the daylight, they are either trying to borrow money from family members or they’re recycling cans. They both resemble walking corpses.
The male companion got “turned out” in jail and he has traded sex for rock. Our actress has also traded sexual favors for drugs, and I would imagine, some of these encounters involved unsafe sex.
Could this be the same actress Wendy Williams was talking about when she mentioned a black actress who was passed over to portray her in an upcoming biopic because of her drug addiction? Robin Givens was the second choice for the role.
Hints: This actress has “never” appeared on a television series and she is extremely popular in the black community.

Sorry to disappoint but it is Nona Gaye. People with Motown backgrounds are very powerful in hollyweird. And yes they can keep Nonas & Chico problems out of mainstream press.
It’s Kenya Moore (from Trois 1 with Gary D from CSI)…She was slated to play Wendy Williams but the deal fell through. Although she did appear on a few black television shows, she only appeared in guest roles, (i.e., near the end of season of four and a few episodes of season five on Girlfriends as Williams love interest Kiera), and if you think about it only black people really know who she is.
Isn’t Chico Debarge coming out with a new album this year? I would think it’s hard to work on a an album if you’re always in a crackhouse and collecting cans. If its true, it’s very sad so much talent gone to waste.

@ 182. Its not Kenya Moore. She has a book comming out in Oct. and she’s currently touring book stores for promotion. She is also former Miss America so I’m sure that main stream media would eat it up if it was her, considering all the “drama” about these pageant girls.

Its Nona Gaye ,actress and daughter of legendary soul singer Marvin Gaye! Realy sad because she had so much talent and potential. Alot of these celebs get turned out by the industry and their career becomesd secondary if not non existant altogether! Hope she gets it together . I saw this blind item in another suite awhile back!
I did a little searching around, and of all the people mentioned Nona Gaye and Chico Debarge appear to be the most fitting candidates. Most of the other people mentioned have something going on for them with the exception of Lisa Nicole Carson and the two above. Lisa however; seems to have developed a problem with Schizophrenia while Nona Gaye (according to Wikipedia) has admitted to having a drug habit that was beaten and Chico has served jail time….this ties into the additional clue from post #74. Unless someone posts information (and there is nothing in the news on either person) that refutes this deduction I would say that Nona Gaye and Chico Debarge are the subjects of this Blind Item. Oh and the fact that the word never appeared in quotations is a big hint…Nona Gaye was slated to star in the Law and Order series but left when production was about to begin. So she “never” appeared in the series.

She could do anything, short of dying, and still fly completely over every mainstream journalists’ head… It took them a few days to even identify the girl in the infamous “knife pics” with Lohan… Vanessa Manillo (that’s probably mispelled, I don’t know and she’s so vapid that who cares?) Anyway, she was the girl in the photos, and moreover, she was a VJ on MTV, a correspondent on a popular celeb gossip program, always on red carpets, and dating Nick Lachey. I showed this item to someone who knows Nona Gaye, which was my guess, and he told me that it was definitely her. I know Gaye originally was signed to take over Couurty Vance’s role on Law and Order:CI but only worked for one day and was quickly replaced without any explanation from the prodicers
