Word has it that the two are now engaged to be married and planning to get hitched soon. They have been inseparable for months now, as seen in the candids we posted. get married first-yes of course but it doesn’t always work out that way-but it definitely doesn’t make you any better than someone who has children and is not married-

Eddie Murphy concedes fathering Spice Girl baby August 3, 2007, 6:29 pm PDT

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -
Actor-comedian Eddie Murphy publicly acknowledged on Friday having fathered a child out of wedlock with Spice Girls singer Melanie Brown, who brought a paternity suit against him earlier this week.
A brief statement issued by Murphy’s publicist said the 46-year-old star of “Dreamgirls” and the “Beverly Hills Cop” movies “always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father.”
“Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort,” the statement said. “He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy.”
The statement concluded by saying Murphy “views this as a private matter, and as such, will not be making any further comments about it.”
Murphy had never publicly acknowledged paternity before.
Brown filed suit against Murphy in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, seeking to legally establish his paternity and seeking unspecified child support for the 3-month-old girl.
A DNA test in June confirmed that Murphy is the father of Brown’s baby, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, who was born in April. The couple dated last year and Brown, 32, known as Scary Spice as a member of the British pop phenomenon, listed Murphy as the father on the child’s birth certificate.
Celebrity magazines reported this week that Murphy had become engaged to his girlfriend of 10 months, Tracey Edmonds. Murphy has five children from his first marriage to Nicole Mitchell, which ended in divorce in April 2006.
The Spice Girls announced in June they would be reuniting for a world tour starting in December.
So now, Hopefully Mel B can get on with her life, with her new boyfriend………
Eddie will cut her a check every month for the next 18 years, so hopefully she will feel vindicated…..
Unfortunatly, no one can MAKE Eddie Murphy love his daughter.

I think that Mel B needs to slow down. She just had a child a couple of months ago and she’s just coming off of the whole Eddie Murphy fiasco. Now she’s with a new man saying she’s engaged. She’s not setting a good example for her children by being with these different men. If what Melanie is saying is true about eddie not paying child support or seeing his daughter then eddie needs to take full responsibility and be a man because she didn’t make that child on her own. I’m reading a lot of posts and people keep blaming eddie for his actions but what about Melanie’s? She only knew Eddie for a few months then got pregnant by him. That wasn’t very responsible of her.
Like I have said many times before Mel B. was the attractive one in the Mel B. and Eddie Murphy relationship. Everytime you see a woman in a picture with a man or holding a conversation with a man doesn’t mean they have been intimate. She sure told the truth about Eddie being the father, if she was passing through men fast she would have been wrong about Eddie being the father. In order to find your Mr. half right one must date or get to know different men until she finds the right one, it doesn’t mean you are having sex with all these men. If Eddie’s action indicates he is angry at Mel…What does Mel’s action indicates? Eddie hasn’t said a thing in the press until he was being blackballed. But, even then, he just released a statement read by his PR. Do you see Eddie posturing to the media? Do you see Eddie smooching at the beach? Do you see Eddie with an attorney out for blood? Again, it amazes me how people can look at the same picture and see 2 totally different things.

i am with you. as a woman I have come to realize that we have to take responsibility and ownership of our contributions to each relationship and thus take ownership of our mistakes and there consequences. Andrice, You need to go back and read my posts. Never once did I say melb had no fault in this. I was disputing the fact that Eddie did nothing wrong. Everybody’s situation is different, unfortunately some of us must live and learn, all of us did not have the same upbringing so everyone reacts and do things differently. I am going to say this one more time and this is the point I wanted to get across so you can get off of your high horse. It does not matter what happened between those two, the fact of the matter is the baby is here and the baby is HIS, and I feel (in my opinion) last I checked that’s what this post is for. He has been foul ever since! This is the last I am stating on this subject it’s obvious to me that most of the men on this site either don’t take care of their children or gay or been in prison most of their life and for those women who are very few who feel Eddie did nothing wrong are holier than thou or just plain think that they are better than most women because they THINK that they make better choices.

But it’s probably a safe bet that the public has not yet heard the last of this story, at least from the standpoint of Mel B.
