Earlier this year, the National Enquirer reported that a 35 year old woman named Kali Bowyer claimed that Chris Rock was the father of her 13 year old son, Jordan. She went public with the news after her son had been suffering from seizures and she wanted to learn more about Rock’s medical history. She had also been harassing Rock and telling random media outlets that he was a deadbeat dad. After filling out court papers and filing a lawsuit for Chris to pay child support, medical fees, and etc., the comedian agreed to take a paternity test.
Well it was announced yesterday that Chris Rock was NOT THE FATHER!!
Chris Rock and his wife of 10 years, Malaak Rock, released this statement to TMZ:
Though we prefer to keep our private life out of the media, we feel that it is necessary to respond to the many grossly inaccurate media reports that were sold to the tabloids by Kali Bowyer who falsely claimed that Chris Rock fathered her 13-year-old son. After multiple lies, including that Chris refused to establish paternity and after finding out that Ms. Bowyer has an extensive criminal record, we personally asked the court to help us establish paternity so that we could put this harassment to rest.
Last week it was concluded through DNA testing that Chris is not the father of Ms. Bowyer’s son. We have spent a tremendous sum to litigate this case and are asking our attorney to pursue all legal remedies against her. Additionally, we would like for any monies Ms. Bowyer has taken from the tabloid media based on this false story to be donated to Bulloch County, GA charities for the benefit of disadvantaged boys and girls. We also express our deepest prayers for the welfare of Ms. Bowyer’s son who has been continuously embarrassed and exposed in the media by his mother.

I am also proud of Chris..taking responsibility. Kali Bower found a grand opportunity and made these false claims against him knowing he was not the father. She knew the tabloids would pay her top dollar for the exclusive knowing it wasnt his and get away with it. It is sad that her son probably suffered from embarassment, but as far as his health, I pray that he will be fine. If the court make this lady donate this money to charity…that would be good…but I also think some of it needs to be set aside for him for college.

Women need to be more empowering and stop settling for this negative treatment.
