Solange Knowles performed a preview of her upcoming album last night as part of the “R&B Live” Concert Series. Her family came out to Spotlight showing support, as well as other young stars and randoms.
Solange’s is currently fine tuning the new album titled “Solange & The Hadley Street Dreams”. She also recently signed a worldwide co-publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing after being recognized for her lyrical work on songs for Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, and sister Beyoncé.

I think everyone looks nice overall. Why is it that every time Bow Wow is in the news…people bring Ciara name up? 50 using her to sell his CD and Ciara’s using 50′s popularity to do the same. So what if they together. Solange can sing, but is she marketable? That’s the question. Angela and Vanessa are cute, they look out of place for some reason but they still cute. Tina was cute before she came out with House of Deron and other products, then she went down hill. Beyonce is cute, and all the other people are, there.
I think Solange looks beautiful and I wish her the best with everything she does. I’m excited about her song-publishing deal with EMI, that means more artistic freedom, more indepedence and more money for her! I heard her songs “White Picket Dreams” and “Champagne Chronic Night Cap”. I think the songs are so innovative and eclectic and its different from anything I’ve heard her or Beyoncé sing- so she’s gonna be fresh and new. Her vocals are shown in the songs with pretty good range and creativity. She’s a strong girl and the pressure any of you haters would have as a younger sister of Beyoncé- you all couldn’t handle. Solange is making herself her own woman and she knows people will criticize her and hate, prayin’ for her downfall because she Beyoncé’s sis, but she’s still gonna give the music biz a whirl- and make a name for herself regardless!

Did anyone listen to Solange’s first cd? I thought it was really great writing for someone so long. I think she is really talented in that department, and her voice is nice too. I support her on this c.d. and I think she looks great. Im proud of her. She’s come a long way.

How do you know what Beyonce looks like underneath the makeup and hair? If you think she’s average, I guess everyone else in the industry is average also. They all are enhanced by makeup, hair, etc. So what’s the point? Personally, with or without the makeup, I think Beyonce is a beautiful woman.
