Six years ago today, Aaliyah Dana Haughton, Anthony Dodd, Eric Foreman, Scott Gallin, Keeth Wallace, Gina Smith, Douglas Kratz, Christopher Maldonado, and Luis Morales died tragically in a plane crash that shocked everyone. At the time of the tragic accident, Aaliyah had just released her 3rd album, Aaliyah and was at the top of her career. I can’t remember anyone who would say that they didn’t like her or anyone that’s met her who didn’t say she had a beautiful spirit and personality. So today, CL remembers the beautiful actress, dancer, and singer by posting some of your favorite Aaliyah tracks and videos. Rest in peace, Babygirl.

I love her so, still today, I miss her so much, nobody came to take her place in R&B, none female singer is so sweet, so still, so peacefull. Oh Baby Girl I miss you so much, your lost is irrenpleacable.

Aaliyah is my favorite singer. She was a talented and beautiful person inside and out. I loved and admire her so much. One of my regrets is not being able to meet her in person and getting the chance to see her in concert. Her memory still lives on for sure. R.I.P. Babygirl
I miss babygirl soo much. These new artist don’t have anything on her. She showed her talent and not her skin which is something some of these new artist need to think about. Although I loved her music, I miss Aaliyah the person. I named my oldest daughter after Aaliyah. She will never be forgotten.

She has always been my favorite, her death really got to me. I guess because we’re the same age and I’ve been a fan since her debut on Video Soul with Donnie Simpson. She was what you call a real R&B artist. She never had to parade around half naked to be sexy or sell records, she was a class act.
