Michael Vick plead guilty to his dogfighting charges earlier this morning in a Virgina Court House and shortly after he made a statement apologizing to everyone for his actions.
“I’m totally disappointed in myself to say the least”, said Vick. “I want to apologize to all the young kids out there for my immature acts and, uh, what I did was very immature so that means I need to grow up.”
“I totally ask for forgiveness and understanding as I move forward to bettering Mike Vick the person, not the football player.”
Vick also condemned his actions, “Dogfighting is a terrible thing and I didn’t reject it. I found Jesus and I ask Him for forgiveness and I turn my life over to God.” [SOURCE]
Vick will be sentenced on December 10th.

Pray for Mike…he’s a knuckle head, but he’s being persecuted as if he killed a human being. Im not going to go deep into moral issues, but damn…..the media hype around this issue is a little ridiculous and I actually feel bad for the guy.

Anywho, I actually feel bad for him. He couldn’t let the hood mentality go and now he is going to pay for it. Not only did he lose his dream, he lost respect. I’ll continue to pray for him and hopefully he puts positive energy into his growth and to his future.
I am saddened whenever one of our own takes a fall, even if it though it is his fault. Life goes on man, take this foul up as yet another lesson learned. I think that he will rise again.

I think we should learn to forgive. No one is perfect, hopefully Mike will learn from his mistakes. I’m not taking up for him, what he did was really stupid, but he has to deal with that everyday he’s not playing football. Maybe this is the wake up call he needs.

Our local PETA chapter has recommended that the dogs be put to sleep, due to them being trained they way they have. An expert on pitbulls said they are able to be retrained witht he right care. I thought PETA was for animals. hmmmm.
