“MISS TINA” CLOTHING LINE
Monday, August 20, 2007

It is not a game with the Knowles family. The ladies have pulled another clothing line from under the threads and its coming from straight from Momma Tina…or “Miss Tina” that is.
Tina Knowles’ new clothing line debuted this past weekend on HSN (Home Shopping Network) and I was able to catch glimpses of it. I can say it actually looks pretty good and very stylish for her target audience:
Tina on her clothing line:
“I love the fact that the sizes go all the way up [2 to 24],” said Knowles in a statement. “There’s a forgotten woman who wants a pencil skirt, too, or a blouse that’s a little lower cut.
“Beyonce has backup singers who are full-figured women. Being a woman over 50, I try to think about the things I have going for me and the things I want to hide, like my arms. I’m giving them options with shrugs. I’ve been a stylist for so many years, I know how to accentuate the positive.”
“Accentuate the positive”…I like that…
Here are some looks from her line, that include shoes and accessories. The prices are pretty affordable as well, ranging from $69 jeans to $200 handbags.

Miss Tina is a very talented woman. She is a real seamstress! Kimora isn’t and will never be a seamstress. She is however a big faced woman who married some rich old man and took over his fashion line. In short, I’d buy Tina’s stuff in a heartbeat over Baby Phat because Tina really knows a woman’s body unlike many celebrity “designers” out there.
Work it out Tina!

Good point #20….we as blacks seem to get awful heated when upwardly mobile blacks are running businesses. We don’t say a word when white folks do the same things and making millions. It’s that slave mentality we still possess so many years later. That “nobody can do better than me so I”m gonna pull them down” mentality.

LOL @ whoever said that the banner and headshot look like a dental system advertisement. I so agree. Almost like she is talking about a total mouth rinse, oral healthcare system that is available for $19.99 + shipping and handling.

I saw Miss Tina on QVC and I must say..she speaks just like her daughter Beyonce ..horrible.. half the time I couldn’t understand what the hell she was saying..As a busness women you need to know HOW TO SPEAK CORRECT ENGLISH OR HAVE YOUR WORDS TOGETHER, before you bring your ass on TV.
AND HER CLOTHERS LOOK CHEAP AND UGLY ON TV…
And for all of you, who said you would buy Miss Tina’s cheap clothers, go right ahead..and when Miss Tina’s clothers falls off your body while you’re walking down the street…I’M GOING TO LAUGHT MY ASS OFF.

Good for Tina. Some of yall in here dont have the particular smarts or hustle when it comes to making money thats why the majority you are hating. Some people want to achieve and go places in life and some dont. Its not your buisness to tell Tina how to run or operate her sh*t. Yall wonder why some people prosper head of you and you still doing whatever medicore or lame ass job your doing. Time is flying, the competition is hot. Money and oppurtunities are here for only a limited time.
Damn, I know yall heard of Strike while the iron is hot.

You do not have to study in Italy to be considered a Couture Designer. Couture originated in Paris actually with designers like Charles Worth, Elsa Shiparelli, Cardin, etc…… And Couture means hand sewn, meaning not ready to wear. Customized meaning if I get a couture dress it fits me perfectly to a T because it was made with my measurements and to my liking and it is a one of a kind. So no Tina’s clothing aren’t couture. What she use to make for DC was couture cause it was hand made, (not needle and thread but sew by hand on a sewing machine and not in a factory by an assembly team) and one of a kind. Study the text book Business of Fashion and you’ll see.

I think Black Americans are a curse race . you don’t see any other set of people hate on their own like black America. People from the Caribbean India, AFRICA Asia all stick together and support each other. , but black America do the opposite.
What if she want to live of her daughter they gave up a lot to let her be all she can be . maybe if you parents did the same your ass would not have a 9-5 job.
if they change the name on those clothes and say D&G or Armani all you motherfuckers would work 2 jobs run up credit cards to get one, but because its black ppl doing it you find fault.. when they say black ppl are a curse race i think they mean black America. Every other race came to USA succeed and leave black America behind now we see why. During segregation they were lot of black business’s but after segregation they all went belly up because blacks prefer to spend their money with white ppl more than their own. you black america are a sad set of ppl.

Her target market must be old fuddy duddy older white women, cause they would be the only ones who think that cheap lookin fabric is stylish or “couture”. LOL at how she brands everything “couture,” when she knows damn well she probably got that cheap fabric from a dime store.
And it’s also funny how they are always peddlin that cheap shit to people, but yet, they stay wearing armani and dolce and gabbana. I smell a snow job here. They throw some glitter and big tacky cubic zirconia buttons on something and call it “couture” and charge a arm a leg from that crap. LOL….whew, they are snowing people…but to each their own.
I must say, out of the whole knowles clan, i admire the mom’s grind the most.

lol cosign 106. Exactly! That’s what i was thinking but i just didn’t know the name of those old patterns.
But it’s something about beyonce’s mother that i really like. I think she’s the most genuine of them all, though greedy, but the most genuine at heart. I don’t know why i get that feeling. But her grind is on point.

Why are people “hating” if they choose not to like this ummmm stuff, I’ll say…??? huh? We just have different sensibilities (mine and everyone else’s who scoffs at these clothes being the best lol) Really, though, COME ON… You can’t be serious with thinking it’s social irresponsibility, our disliking these rags? Tina is all about being commodified, well, let her be…and just like any other commodity I don’t like, she can sit her oddly witchy looking a88 on the shelf.

I like pic #1 and #3 .Very classy and stylish) I guess she grew tired of all the media scrutiny and questions from people about the HOD (House of Dereon’s) lack of stylish clothing for the real plus sized women, and their high price tags!.For those singing the praises of HOD I respect your opinion, but I havent seen anything that impressive on that line beyond some of their shoes and maybe a dress or 2! I like designer wear but Im no slave to it. I can feel comfortable in a dress that costs $30 as a dress that cost $150. Even Gucci and all those other high brands charge some outragous prices for many of their pieces(even the ugly clothing) but their target market are the rich and famous who are willing to shell out big money (which is small money to them) just for the item becaus eit has that designer tag, however ridiculous ot looks.

Women whom this look really taget is not a 18-24 yrs old females its more or less 25 and over. I love Miss Tina’s line. They were very beautiful pieces that were shown. It is awful to read such negativity written by haters. If it was your mom you would not want anyone to talk about her. Instead of downing them get off your butt and design a line of clothing. This is a gifted woman and she has class and much style. I am creole as well and no it’s not another way of saying we are not black or on another level it’s a culture and heritage. We know we are black but read the history on creole people as well. I can’t stand when ignorant people have so much to say. Learn your history , learn your damn history.

Black people are the worst critics of other Blacks. We should be happy that the Knowles family is so tight knit and working together to provide a life for themselves - more Black families need to do this. Papa and Momma Knowles gave up their careers - their livlihoods to see Beyonce, Solange, and Kelly succeed and they have done just that, yet they get no credit for it. We down Black men like Papa Knowles, but stand up for child molesters like R. Kelly. I don’t want to hear not one damn negative word about Beyonce and her family. Complain about all these rappers who have to be taken to court to pay for child support - and they’ve got the money to do it.

Why are you hating one such a postive woman. When was the last time we saw a celebrity Mom who instilled dignity and respect in her children. She stands by them, let’s them shine and yes. She has finally realized her dream of being a designer. Beyonce is the epitome of grace and respect. She respects herself and is very humble. We as women should embrace the Knowles family instead of hate on the. When was the last time your Daddy quit his job to help you live your dream?

Beyonce’s gown at the 09 Academy Awards was chosen as the worst. Why in the bloody hell would I take fashion advice from a woman who just copies real clothing designer’s works and just makes it cheap (manufactured in China) and hoodish? Beyonce looked like a fat fool on the red carpet wearing a so called “gown” made out of her living room curtains. Tina Wina should stick with dressing the foolish and illiterate which is the majority of these people who posted here and HSN shoppers.
