After all the Floetry drama that happened last week it was about that time for one of the Floetry chicks to speak out officially about what went down. Yeah Marsha Ambrosius posted a couple of blogs and what not but she was talking in circles.
Natalie Stewart, who was reportedly replaced by Amanda Diva, sat down with Wendy Williams on Friday and basically said that she was still cool with Marsha, no they didn’t date, and that she was getting married soon. I typed up a snippet below.
ON HER RELATIONSHIP WITH MARSHA
Natalie: Marsha and I met when we were like eleven years old, she’s more like my sister. The relationship thing sounds good and everything and I understand why everyone would want it to be, because a lot of people make love to our music. So of course everyone is going to feel as though there must be some chemistry…
[wendy talks more about rumors]
Natalie: The whole disappearance thing… I wasn’t well. I was spiritually, emotionally, physically.. I wasn’t well and I went back to London. I’ve only been back here for a month [U.S.]..
Wendy: What happened?
Natalie: I needed to sit still for a second. You know it’s a lot of stuff to get back in the business. I had to go home and just chill for a second. I’ve been back for like four weeks and I have new management.ON THE REMIX TOUR
Natalie: Floetry is Natalie Stewart, Marsha and the fans.
Wendy: ..Now what is Floetry?
Natalie: Right now they are doing something remixed and I apologize to the fans for believing they were coming out to see Floetry and they didn’t get that. Right now I’m doing everything in my power to get back on that tour.
Wendy: [talking about the remix tour] People were screaming out to ya girl on the stage, saying “Where’s Natalie, Where’s Natalie” and Marsha was like I don’t know.
Natalie: ..I would just say a management call, a not too wise management call had put that situation together…. The name Floetry should have never been used, it should have been called another group…

Wow… Natalie has changed alot… Maybe for the better. I think they should give the new girl a try or whatever but not under the same name as floetry… Maybe Marsha and the Sidekick? Or No-e-try? Just kiddin. It’s good to see they’re still friends but whatever. Hopefully we’ll see some type of reunion with them within the next year or so.

Floetry is a great duo ,and I wish them well .I hope that they reunite soon to do another cd.That would be great .They do have wonderful music chemistry. I have nothing to say about Amanda Diva, dont know much about her!Good she sat down to talk ,and she held her own in that interview with Wendy, very straight forward!

Went to the remix show last night in SF, Wasn’t feeling Amanda Diva. She gave off a totally different Vibe!! If i would of known it wasn’t going to be “Floetry” performing I wouldn’t have gone. It said Floetry Not Marsha and Amanda. Although i did enjoy Marsha…. just wasn’t the same…….. It was alright!!!
2008 is about to end, and i’m just now finding out about floetry breaking up as a group, i’m devastated. Gay or not gay, they made beautiful music together. I hope they reunited and continue to make some more music together. Now, i’m wondering what really went down!
