Michael Vick plead guilty to his dogfighting charges earlier this morning in a Virgina Court House and shortly after he made a statement apologizing to everyone for his actions.
“I’m totally disappointed in myself to say the least”, said Vick. “I want to apologize to all the young kids out there for my immature acts and, uh, what I did was very immature so that means I need to grow up.”
“I totally ask for forgiveness and understanding as I move forward to bettering Mike Vick the person, not the football player.”
Vick also condemned his actions, “Dogfighting is a terrible thing and I didn’t reject it. I found Jesus and I ask Him for forgiveness and I turn my life over to God.” [SOURCE]
Keyshia Cole’s single “Let It Go” has gotten plenty of love, but with her album, Just Like You dropping on the 25th of September, Keyshia has room to squeeze out another single before the album drops. This time around, Keyshia has worked with some of the biggest names in R&B and hip hop production, with producers ranging from Bryan-Michael Cox to Scott Storch to Rodney Jerkins.
Today on Atlanta’s people station, V103 (103.3 FM), they premiered her new single, “Shoulda Let You Go,” which is pretty much in the same vain as the first single, “Let It Go.” I’m not sure how I feel about this being the second single, because it’s not as strong as “Let It Go” was, but maybe it’s just one of those things that have to grow on me. So what do you think? Is “Shoulda Let You Go” hot… or not?
Make sure you support Keyshia with her new project, Just Like Me due out September 25, and show her some love via MySpace.
After Lil’ Mo gave birth to her baby girl, Goddis Love, we didn’t hear much from her. Her last album, 2003’s Girl Next Door, was a good follow-up to her debut that everyone had been waiting for, after hearing her all over Ja Rule and Missy tracks. The self-proclaimed “God Mother of Hip Hop and Soul” is back with a brand new album, Pain & Paper, which is a blend of hip hop and soul that some say is Mo’s best work to date. She has a features from Fabolous (who always seems to make nice collabs with), Jim Jones, Da Brat and Trina.
Most would say that Kerry Washington is highly underrated. Not only with her acting and film roles (”Ray”, “The Last King Of Scotland”, “She Hate Me”), but with her incredible style on the red carpet. She is one actress who never diappoints and seems to know what works best for her every time. Kerry also seems to be pretty familiar with high end, couture designs and almost sees dressing up as art - at least she looks like a painting when she steps out on the carpet.
Nick Cannon & Hillary Duff hosted the 2007 Teen Choice Awards which was taped in Uniersal City yesterday. Random celebs and singers showed up for the event. If you like that corny goodness that this show always produces make sure to check it out tonight at 8 pm EST on FOX.
Even though he has produced major hits for tons of artists, producer Polow Da Don just can’t seem to keep his mouth shut. The rumored “King of All White Girls” has spoke out again about his love of white women. Check what he said in an interview with All Hip Hop:
Just the “King of the White Girls.” I ain’t self proclaimed but I run with it. [Laughs] There was a stage in my life where I went crazy with dating white women. I have nothing against black women, but they’re raised differently. White women are raised to respect and serve their men. Black women are taught to question [their men]. Black women look at submission as being weak. White women look at submission as being a woman. And anyone who has a problem with this statement is ignorant. Just look at the divine order; it goes man, woman, child. [SOURCE]
Talk about a generalization! How about he stick to his day job - making beats!
