PRODUCER POLOW DA DON RESPONDS

Thursday, August 30, 2007

( Photo: Sandra Rose )

A great man once said opinions are like a**holes…everyone’s got one. However, some people like to let their butt out for from time to time - take Polow Da Don.

Since the controversy surrounding his comments towards white women and black women, Polow Da Don has been under hell fire. Allhiphop linked up with the producer for his response to the feedback he received against his views and being dubbed the “King Of White Girls”:

AllHipHop.com: So do you stand by your statements?

Polow Da Don: Oh definitely. It has nothing to do with me, these effects. I didn’t make this stuff up. Only thing where people got misled is that I said I prefer a White woman, and that’s not the case at all. Really, I date all types of women. It was a stage in my life when I started dating a lot of White women- that was just a stage in my life. Right now, I date girls I like. I don’t base it off of any shade or color when I meet a girl now. They linked my comments about the Black family and Black women with the “King of the White Girls” and [the fact that] I dated White girls. That’s where it all went wrong. So when I was comparing Black women to White women, that has zero to do with me dating White women. What I was saying was factual though. Ladies and gentlemen agreed, n****s and b******s got mad.

Polow once again did not hold his tongue with his opinion in the interview. He went on to clarify himself saying this:

It’s not that I’m attacking Black women; Black women have done this to themselves. Well I’m not going to say that. They didn’t do it to themselves, but they are a part of the cycle, which means they’re not helping the situation by not looking at the problem. So let’s take White people out of it, and take any other race out of it. I used White women as a comparison because so many Black people get mad because I say that I’m the “King of the White Girls.” First of all, saying that I’m the “King of the White Girls,” how can you find that disrespectful as a Black woman? You are an idiot. If anything, I should have Klansmen feeling disrespected; I should have White women feeling disrespected as far as a Black man saying he’s the king of the White women. It’s not disrespectful to Black woman at all. If a white man says, “I’m the King of Black women,” would [Black women] be mad at the White man? Of course you would be, and so would Black men. You think a White woman would be mad at a White man saying, “I’m the king of Black women?” No, they won’t be mad. So I don’t understand how a Black woman can feel offended by me saying I’m the “King of the White Girls.” I didn’t come up with that. Like I said, a White man came up with that title for me. But, Black women do need to get their shit together, period, point blank. And if you’re in denial of that, you are part of the problem.

this about Oprah:

AllHipHop.com: So we discussed how some Black have not really learned to be men yet. Do you think that may be a reason why some Black women have a problem being submissive to that kind of man?

Polow Da Don: No. Women have been taught to not trust us. Women have run the household for so long, they’ve been taught to be independent. So when a man comes in and tries to run the household, they are kind of fighting for that spot, so to speak. There’s gonna be a little resistance before a woman just let’s it all go because they’ve seen their mothers be strong, and grandmothers be so strong, and they taught them to be the same way. So when you meet a guy you’re gonna challenge him. Take somebody like Oprah (Winfrey.) To me Oprah is a bad example. To me Oprah being titled as the most powerful Black woman in America, and she doesn’t have a man… To me that’s sending a bad signal to all young Black women. That’s saying the most powerful Black woman in America didn’t need a man. You telling me that’s a role model?

oh, and now is the “Prince Of White Girls”:

AllHipHop.com: I feel you. So do you have anything else to add?

Polow Da Don: Yes. I am no longer calling myself the “King of White Girls,” I am the Prince. Quincy Jones had the baddest white girls ever, and the most. I did my history and I ain’t got s**t on Quincy Jones. [Laughs]

Read the rest of his interview here. Does he have a point or should he just keep it on mute?

REALLY HE IS THE WORST…YES BLACK WOMEN HAVE BEEN RAISED TO BE INDEPENDENT AND BE STRONG AND IF YOUR INTIMIDATED BY THAT THEN YO ARE THE PROBLEM AND NEED TO STEP YOUR GAME UP AS A STRONG BLACK MAN…WE AS A PEOPLE DON’T HAVE TIME TO BE WEAK AND TIMID LIKE WOMEN IN OTHER RACES. WE ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ON OUR GRINDS FROM THE BUMS ON THE CORNER TRYING TO GET UP EARLY TO GET THE CANS TO GET A REFUND TO THE CORP. EXEC. IF YOU AS A BLACK MAN ARE AFRAID OF A STRONG BLACK WOMAN THEN YOU NEED TO BE WITH SOMEONE OF NON-BLACK RACE BECAUSE WE DON’T NEED THE EXTRA BAGGAGE SLOWING US DOWN WHEN WE OUT HERE TRYING TO PROVIDE FOR OUR FAMILIES WHEN SO MANY OF YOU BLACK MEN HAVE PACKED YOU BAGS AND LEFT YOUR FAMILIES INSTEAD OF WORKING THINGS OUT AND STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE TO BE THE MAN THAT IS NEEDED TO PROVIDE FOR YOUR FAMILY…MOMMA ALWAYS SAID IF YOU NEVER OPEN YOUR MOUTH NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW HOW IGNORANT YOU ARE.

As adults we are indeed intitled to our own opinions. I guess he feels the way he does b/c of his experiences just like we do as black woman. To all the ladies I know how hard it is out there dealing with these boys that expect to be respected and treated like a man. The truth of the matter is as black people in general I feel like we are taught from birth to be strong and make a way when there is no way……A lot of us are very opinionated b/c of this factor. We are very independent and anything or person we see as a threat we tend to attack. This is why there is so much discrimination withthin our own race whether it is b/c of gender or shades of skin. Anyway I think someone earlier commented and said that if this does not apply to you then dont get mad. Some of it does apply to me b/c I am very strong and independent and so is my Husband. So in areas we do clash but, I feel that the thing that holds us together is that we understand that we are struggling for the same thing. An opportunity in this world due to the fact that we are a minority and a better life for our child than the one that we had; and most of all we have geniune love.
Overall comments like Polows does not uplift us b/c he does not mention any solution just the issue at hand. It seems as though he has alot of hate in him towards black women for whatever reason. The part that I honestly found offensive was not all the negative things he said about black woman but, when he offended Oprah. If anything she is the epitome of a black role model. I wonder if he would have said that if she was a black man. In conclusion that’s all. Peace.

@Mallato..and that’s why even though I don’t know you personally, I respect you and your opinions. You’ve never attacked people or try to make them feel like they don’t know as much as you. :-) Words are powerful, you really don’t have much more than your words.

Just because he read the Willie Lynch letter doesn’t make him educated. Calling himself the King of White Girls, IF he was educated, IF he knew his HISTORY why is the hell would you label yourself as this? His comments about white women were offensive and his comments about black women were offensive. Now he tries to clean it up with a lot of words that equals a lot of bull. The only thing that makes sense is when he says black women have power. He doesn’t really talk about the accountability of the black man. I think that he and some black men take this view that they are strong and educated and they justify this into why they conquer white women. Does he really love the skin that he is in?

He has a right to feel how he does.. and others have a right to feel the way they do. I feel its never a bad thing when somebody speaks on their ‘preferences’. I’m glad he was honest.. I wish more people were. I don’t want any man who doesn’t want me or any other black woman. Go head Boo boo.. Weak minded men.. who need tons of ego stroking were never my thing. I don’t see him as being a loss at all. Poof pow be gone weak negro!!

And umm Oprah has a man.. she choose not to marry him but that have been together for over 17 years.. how is that a bad thing????

@Phillydon140

To tell you the truth some of us black women DON’T CARE if were “loosing”
black men because alot of them aren’t worth keeping. I’m married myself, so I’m straight, but what most women here are repeatedly saying is that we DON’T LIKE people telling us what the F*** we should do and how we should act when they aren’t living OUR lives.

If someone was to say: “You know what? That white man over there really has himself together-he’s got a good job, responsible etc…BUT, I guess Phiilydon was RAISED different. He really needs to get himself together.”

You would take it just like the BW here are taking this idiot’s comment-as a personal attack-and rightfully so.

I can’t help but laugh at his ass. Apart of me wants his ass to be joking or wants his excuse to be that he’s mentally disabled. I can’t see how a “smart” talented brother could be so stupid. No matter how he tries to clean it up, it’s desrespectful, bias and racist. He’s still making it seem as if white women are better. He knows what he’s doing because if he really didn’t feel anything was wrong with his statement, he wouldn’t have addressed it AGAIN and AGAIN. Leave it alone Polow So Bum. He’s so cocky. I was reading another interview about him addressing the same thing and he was like “i was popular in high school…all the white girls loved me” I’m like this dude has some issues. Then he went on to say he was so fine that he was picked for a video. The “Shorty Swing My Way” video. Remember he had the curl in his head? lmao…yea..u were so “fine” with your straignt from D Block body! In the fine words of Riley from “The Boondocks”…”whatever nigga” He makes me sick to my stomach. I really think the negative heat he’s getting is really gonna mess up his career and it should. He’s a lame with repetitive beats….NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@144

I feel you and respect your words. Like I said before, I have dated outside my race because there has been something in that person that appealed to me. I am married now to a black man, but if i was ever dating the same rules apply. My only issue with dating outside a race is the intentional exclusion of your own race. I have read his entire article and it’s all over the place. To me, he makes it sound like black women have these issues, it’s our fault, men don’t know how to be men, but yet in still he puts us on the shelf and plays with a new toy.

Okay so he says he’s shining the light on the problems within the black family, namely black women…so the lights been shined…what he gone do about the situation….nothing…

He still sounds very stupid…in fact…I’m pretty sure he is stupid. How can anyone be so ignorant? He should just keep his mouth shut.

1) Nobody is mad b/c he may or may not like white girls. Shit…as far as I’m concerned; take him, your doing all black women a favor. He has a problem with black women b/c he can’t handle them.

2) Oprah?…please she could shit on him…he shouldn’t even let her name pass out his mouth. Oprah doesn’t tolerate shit, that’s why she doesn’t have a man.

3) What the hell is wrong with being “strong”? He must be controlling.

Nobody cares if he loves white women or not it’s a problem with him calling people ignorant for not having the same views as him & generalizing all black women.

If you are finding that the women you’re entertaining don’t meet your standards, then perhaps you’re shopping in the wrong place. . there is a world of black women in corporate america that are educated and holding there own . . woops wait they wouldn’t be interested in you, they’d be dating a “White Man” that has a career, not just a JOB.

Polow is the one that’s misguided. I have been following this story since Monday and I not seen any comments about black women being mad because of his nick name “King of White Girls”.. No one cares, it seems he is trying to cover up his previous comments but because his ignorance overcomes him, it sounds like a bunch of rubbish.

We can go on and on with if he has a point or not but the fact remains he has no proof that all black women needs to get their stuff together. We can’t be mad at the poor soul because he is ignorant to realty meaning: he really doesn’t know reality and that people emotions and their character has no color, maybe if he had better role models they would show him to see pass color and to know the difference from his encounters or surroundings with “black women” than all the women he does not know and will never meet!!! Because truly we can never categories people by race or nationality. He needs to understand just because he’s encountered all race of women he can never be a judge on the way “black women” behaves because he is only a small grain of rice in this world we can only leave the judging up to god!

Based on his words if I don’t agree I’m a bitch, Well let me give him a lesson: ni**ga’s can’t disagree because their consider dumb and ignorant so they would not know how to disagree. a bitch is considered a female dog so unless he can understand dog language he would not know if they are disagreeing. Not to smart for a drop out from Moore House College… And last but not least let me give my opinion about him noticed I’m addressing him not all “black men ” because I can only speak on my encounters with him…. He’s has no points in my book because a real man would not try and pull another man down while he’s drowning. What did Quince Jones have to do with his actions, Quince could have had a million white women he has always had class and did not have to justify his preference by putting down another race. Maybe if he do some more research on Quince and follow his lead as a Man in this industry he just may be as successful as Quince, but from the looks of things NOT!

@ Mogul,

No one is saying he can’t express his opinion. He can and he did, but it is also OUR right to express our opinion about his opinion. If you don’t want to hear what people have to say about you, then keep your opinions to yourself. Why is it OK for him to say how he feels, but all of a sudden the subject of his opinion (black women) can’t respond?

I happen to think he is very misguided. My brother and my father are BOTH dominant figures, and let me tell you, they BOTH dog their women out. My brother stays in the streets with his boys and his hoes, and will not let his girlfriend of 10+ years do anything (and they have four, beautiful kids together). She works and comes home and takes care of the kids. When he finally decides to come home, he makes her cook for him. When she questions him, it’s a big fight. He feels he can do whatever he wants and control her. Unfortunately, I think this is what black men think of when they think of being head of household. You got a lot of men playing house (not taking full responsibility) and still trying to act like young boys in the streets with no responsibilities at home.

It’s wrong, and black women have a right to have an opinion about a subject that affects us and our children. This dude has the ability to affect other young minds, so we should be vocal about what he is saying.

I think I’m more pissed that he generalized Black women just straight dogging us when there some good ones out there, see he wants someone submissive cause he want to do whatever the hell he want. White women should be mad as hell of what he said. That just to show you that Black women are strong and take no shit from no one, but we do want a strong Black man in our lives too. I totally disagree when says “Women have been taught to not trust us. Women have run the household for so long, they’ve been taught to be independent. So when a man comes in and tries to run the household, they are kind of fighting for that spot, so to speak. There’s gonna be a little resistance before a woman just let’s it all go because they’ve seen their mothers be strong, and grandmothers be so strong, and they taught them to be the same way.” I was never raised like that,my man know his duties and I know mine. But I have to realize that things are different verses in Japan where his mother was raised. There the women are raised to live, eat, and breathe their husbands, so he did not have the same upbringing like us, so the closet he’ll get is a white women that will allow him to do it. But if he didn’t have the status he has now, the only white submissive women he would attract is the trashy/fat ones. Black women are seeking black men in their lives whether she is independent or not, but the problem is that some black men aren’t willing to go there. He shouldn’t put all the blame on us. It goes both ways.

I honestly think that Polow should stay out of this type of controversy and stick to making music…. On the other hand after rereading it a few times, Polow does have a point… and even most of the people that feel opposed to “his opinions” still agree somewhere that he has a point. I don’t think he was really trying to pull the race card nor was he trying to put one race above the other. He just happens to like different races when it comes to his women. He does say he now just looks from within. AND PLEASE REMEMBER THIS WASNT A NAME HE GAVE HIMSELF.

The reason he probably says black women need to get it together is because of things like “Flavor of Love”, video girls, callin each other bythces…and all that nonsense… Monique even said black women need to do better and nobody is comin at her… Its a problem “beyond” Polow….

Now I do have to disagree that Oprah is a bad role model because I don’t think a woman should need a man financially or for happiness. YOU HAVE TO LOVE YOURSELF AND DO FOR YOURSELF BEFORE U CAN LOVE OR DO FOR ANOTHER…Of course, all women do not fit the characteristics Polow describes, and i’m sure he did not mean “all”, so if u know that’s not u, don’t get offended. But I’m sure there is a majority, like black men graduating high school, getting out the streets, and doing something with their lives. Sure, it may seem a lot make it but its so many more that perish and become unsuccessful.

As far as Polow, I never was a fan of his and I will never be. Cute? I think not. He is a pompous a$$! Some men don’t understand the simple fact that to get respect, you gotta give it also. And I don’t care for Oprah but he is so out of pocket for that statement. So I guess Oprah ain’t $hit because she don’t have a man? So to be the most powerful black woman you have to have a man? If you don’t then you’re not powerful and not a role model? GTFOH with that bull$hit. Nicca Oprah needs to have you on her show as a guest and tear that a$$ out the frame for that statement. Some of us have jobs, support our family and don’t have time for the ignorance. Not every women has come from ghetto but i can get there real quick if the situation arises.

If all you see is “ghetto” black women then you need to change the spots you visit, the channels you watching and the neighborhood you in. And just because a women lives in the projects or ghetto doesn’t mean she can’t handle herself like a woman.

And another thing I go to school (accountant) and I think that I’m going to be sucessful by myself. And yall know why its because I cant find a decent brother to acheive my goal with so yes I’m independent. I’m not settling for less anymore and if thats what it takes then so be it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do agree with certain things he said..my only problem with what he said is the way he said everything he said…and the fact that he stereotyped black women! GRANTED much of it does pretain to most black women…it doesnt pretain to all. I went through a phase where i only dated white girls. My momma was going crazy. But i just refused to try to break down that barrier black women have up. As i grew up though, i realized that was just how strong they were. My mother is one of the strongest women i have ever met. And shes strong without coming off as ghetto or fighting with my father. Shes just strong. She holds the family together. And does it without ever raising her voice.

As for Oprah. Now i totally disagree with that. A black woman does not need a black man to be successful or make it or whatever he was trying to do to pretain to Oprah. And Oprah does have a man what is he talking about. Her and Stedman have been together FOREVER! She just wont marry him, which i dont blame him, b/c she doesnt want to share her money. Which is completely understandable.

Now that i know where his head is , im happy that he would rather date white women. And for me this is a big step because i am very pro-black and i come from a family who taught me that black is beautiful. I do not agree with black men dating outside of their race. I always feel like there has to be a black woman somewhere in the world that they could be very happy and compatible with. It upsets me very much to think that some black men equate strong and independent with not being able to trust. That is just plain ignorance. I have been happily married to a strong black man for five years. I think that black love is a beautiful thing. I salute black men that do not take the easy way out and that only date within their own race. It is the only way to keep black love alive. As you can see i am very passionate about this topic. But im done preaching.

What are ya’ll talking about Oprah doesn’t have a man? She is with Stedman and has been with him for YEARS. He’s damn near her husband. She talks about him on the show and references the little day to day situations they go through. He’s not trying to be in the spotlight and has no problem letting Oprah shine.

SHIT FOR BRAINS SAID “He’s 100 % right, i’ve been sayin this, you black women need to realize why brothers are leaving u . once in a while just shut the fuck, and to ur woman duties”

Lord Jesus help me…… I am really at a loss for words. Let me be the first to say all you ungrateful color struck house negroes who have a problem with black women please feel free to leave. Run, dont walk. Dont let the door hit ya and we will even help your ass pack. A black man who cant handle a black woman is a bitch anyway. Yes, I said it. YOU ARE A BITCH! Sorry punk asses. Dont blame black women for you being less than. I dont care who you are, dont ever fix your face to say “black women” any damn thing. Do not speak for me, and do not speak about me.
And this is not about his preference. I dont care who you date just please save the tired excuses. You are just giving “other” ppl shit to talk about. If I hear one more white girl say some shit about what her slave ass husband said about “ALL BLACK WOMEN” you will be reading about my ass in the paper.

Lets all be real with the changing dynamics in the black community so many of our young people are becomeing confused on what is real and what is just portrayed to us by Television and stereotypes. No not all black women sit around with attitudes trying to bust down black men but dont think for one second diffrent enviormental factors dont make a diffrence. In the black community we have a high rate of single mothers which does lead women to take on an attitude of Independance because they have too. Waiting on some dude to come and place food on the table is not an option. Though they have to take on personal responsibilty for the Men you date. Too many women out there claim that they want a “thug” there representation of a strong brother which is perpetuated by televison. Reality is that thugs get in to illegeal things and go to jail. Which leads to women being left alone with multiple kids and a chip on there shoulder. Men they want to lead but to lead you have to be worth following. The truth is brothers need to step up all together. Black women also need to learn to regonize a good brother. When yall find one dont bring the old mentalilty associated to a lesser man into this new relationship

@184

I respect your beliefs and the love between two black people is a beautiful thing but I, myself believe that people should date and marry whomever they feel a connection to. Just my opinion.

@181Dimples

It’s no use trying to convince people like Phillydon. He has his mind made up. He could come across positive black females on a daily basis BUT because he has already decided to lump us into one catagory, he will never see a bw as no more than a bitch. He has issues.

I totaly disagree. So what Oprah is not married and does not have any kids. Being married with children is not how everyone’s life should be. If its her decision to be single thats perfectly fine. Just because she does not have a husband does not mean that she has a “Fu** men” attitude. If she can do it alone, so be it. No one says that about men who are unmarried. A single man gets all the credit and is seen as being “sucessful” while a single woman is seen as being “anti-men”. TD Jakes is not the holy grail either.

Ppl have asked, why is it

offense if a black man says

he dates black women? (such as #2.

keyana, and others)

AND THE ANSWER IS:

b/c black women have

been the “dirty-self boosting

ego-stepping stools” since

like 4ever!!! and for us to hear

that our own men-supporters-

brothers-cousins- and friends

“DONT WANT US” hurts us

profoundly b/c indeed we are

strong and independent at times,

we are also women who need black

men to love us & be there for us

cuz I know yall dont think a white

man cud do for us like yall can, rite?

^^^ jus sumthin to think about^^^

You know, ya’ll should just stop posting messages about Polow Da Don… Don’t even give this fool that much love!!! Every time I hear anything come out that mans mouth it just sounds ignorant!!! He needs to stick to his day job… Stop taking interviews and keep making beats… don’t even talk about the beats just make THEM!!! He was better off staying behind the scenes.

I don’t have an issue with interracial dating what so ever… That’s his preference; however I do find it disrespectful to put down other races. And they say racism don’t exist anymore…. HA! Yeah right… That goes to show you racism still exist. You know what cracks me up… Why does it always have to be WHITE & BLACK… like there aren’t any Latin women or Asian women, etc…? What’s his REASON for not dating them?

PLEASE STOP POSTING ABOUT POLOW DA DON… this might be a publicity stunt!!! Given him attention he wasn’t getting… getting him girls “White” girls he wasn’t getting that he want!!! He’s a moron.

Wow that was the most ridiculous response ever. It shows how conceited he is, cause he’s just ASSUMING that people care if he prefers white women. No one cares who you date , you’re just a producer!!!! It’s the fact that he made all these assumptions about white and black women and about men running things!!! God how self-absorbed can he be??? No one cares about you Polow….no one even knows who you are, except for people who read these blogs. Ask any joe off the street…they only know Timbaland and Neptunes and maybe a couple others.

Okay he did make some good points, but what he doesn’t realize is that a black woman isn’t willing to give up her house hold if it isn’t worth it. And Im only judging from my situation I haven’t found a man worty of my trust or being head of my house hold. The Guyes in my genaration are something else they want the life style they see in the video but they don’t want to put in work! I feel like he’s addressing the woman when in fact I think its the man. A woman will work with a man if he is worth working for real men are not being raised these days.

I give up my household to no one. We support our family. We maintain the household. Marriage is about unity and working together. Letting someone have more right over anything gives them power. What and who gives anyone the right to be superior? How is a man superior to a woman? Can someone answer that?

Black men who behave like Uncle Toms probably think that the slave trade still exists. They complain about black women not catering to them, but GUESS WHAT??!! These niggas cater to their pale ass ghost white women!

Maybe they should remember that saying: “THE DARKER THE BERRY, THE SWEETER THE JUICE.”

Us blacks remain BLACK whatever the weather, whereas whites change color when they’re sick, or if the weather changes.

Yes, people we all know he’s as ignorant as they come but he does make an excellent point about Oprah. Like he said, she’s a very bad example for women, IN GENERAL. Money doesn’t equal success. A drug dealer can have millions but does that make him an ideal model for society. It’s the black women who have come up with ridiculous notion of, “I’m soooo independent. Honey, I don’t need a man”. Do you ever see white women going around saying they don’t need a man? HELL TO THE NAW. In order to have a flourishing community, we need each other i.e WOMEN, CHILDREN, ELDERS, and MEN!!!! I thought, it took a village to raise a child. Oprah doesn’t embrace men (hmmm, wonder why). They need the same opportunities she’s giving those girls in Africa, probably even more so. Believe it or not, we need men as much as they need us. By neglecting black men, we are setting ourselves up for failure. We are cultivating a generation of societal rejects and men of questionable sexuality (how you derrrrnnn!!!).

As for his comments about him being the “king of white girls”, I don’t care. I’m just saddened by his generalization of black women. I wonder if he holds his mother and grandmother in the same regard. Instead of saying what he said, it would have been preferable, if he summed it up as white women being his preference.

Polow is crazy. I feel that he is another black man trying to put blame on everything that is wrong with black men on black woman. I still can’t believe the comment about black women needing to get their shit together. I live in Atlanta(where he is from)
and all day all I see are black boys hanging out downtown and not attending school. The problem with black boys are that they have no real role models. And yes I see alot of girls with children but those be the same girls who are in nursing school trying to provide for their chidren. Statistics will show that more black women are in school than men. Most Black men have failed us(women and our community). And since we are on the topic of being real white men believe that there are alot of white woman who are hoes and golddiggers the only difference is that they dont air them out like brothas do us. Polow you need to get it together!

Having a spouse doesn’t mean success either. Success is shown by how hard you work for something and Oprah had to break down a lot of doors to get where she is at. Not only was she black and a woman she was also overweight. No one needs to discredit her and say that she is not a good role model.

Doesn’t this scrub realise that Oprah could buy his azz out about a thousand times??!! Hes wrong and is messing with the wrong woman. She made it on her OWN and even though she ain’t married to Steadman, they’ve been together long enough to be man and wife. Oprah is a great role model to anyone. She was brought up in extreme poverty, but with years of hard work and determination, she has become one of the most powerful and revered figures in world media. People like Polow purport negative stereotypes of black women, making them lose self-esteem. It’s his kind of comments that destroy black women, and don’t encourage them to make something of themselves, and only get left shaking their asses for all those degrading videos.

Polow Da DUD needs to take these words back cuz I don’t see him contributing anything in charity or uplifting communities like Oprah. How much money did he pledge for the victims of Hurricaine Katrina? How many black students has he put through college? How many schools has he built for poor children in Africa?

Yeah, you can answer those in a second. This ghetto trash needs to be thrown into the gutter and left there. His attitude is what gives the media even more reason to look down on black females. Oprah doesn’t stand for the shit he stereotypes. He’s just feels threatened and very inadequate to see black women like Oprah rise above his narrow-minded definition of what the black woman should embody.

PEACE x

POLOW has the nerve to belittle all of oprahs acoomplishements because she doesnt “have a man” POLOW is a wanna be according to people I have spoken to in ATL. HE didnt finish at MOREHOUSE!!! and he basically sucked enough knee caps to get where he is. I am not mad that he dates white women People love who they love. I just find his views on women disturbing and pray he doesnt influnce any other young man that man see him as a role model.
TAJ THE PHOTOGRPAHER very impressive btw (random thought)
And to rebut his statements..there are plenty of black women willing to let you walk all over them so thats a lie. Please dont use that as a lame excuse of why you choose to have superficial relationships white women. YOU OBVIOUSLY dont respect them either.

What about Michelle Obama (Barack’s wife)??!! She’s a STRONG, INTELLIGENT AND WELL-SPOKEN African American woman–yet she knows how to look after her family. She keeps the drama out of their loves and is doing a lot of good for her man’s presidential campagin.

I read on his previous interview, were “he is not like any other producers that he has his on talent and sometimes surprise his self”. he did not want to be categories, however he is categorizing black women and generalizing comments towards black women. We can say all his beats sounds like an offspring of Jazze Pha or some other down south producers and how quickly he would try to advise otherwise.

I think Polow really thought his statment would’ve went over black women heads, that we were to busy questioning are men and fighting against being submissive to comprehend his statements. Know call me stupid but it seems to me that the same black women that was floored by his statements had some baring on him trying to pull a wool over our eyes now. I’m happy for concreteloop because I’m willing to bet our comments on his previous statement had the prince explaining LOL…… Go figure black women that need to get it together sure got him together! However, he is so ignorant he still mad an ass of his self.

DESTRUCTION OF THE BLACK WOMAN

Thursday, August 30, 2007 /

Okay hold up Philly Don…I am born adn raised from Philly…WE DO NOT SAY SON ! If you would have said Jawn, or Yadamean you would have been more believable….all my former students could tell you that..That is NEW YORK slang(not offense to my NEW York friends)! You know Damn well you are not from North Philly unless you are 15 and as a former social worker…Section 8 does go to Chestnut Hill but you are probably in the them high rises lying.

Contrary to popular belief, North Philly and Harlem are going through the same thing Gentrification. That lousy RACIST university is building around it, harassing the residents and now we have a bunch of majority white college students having wild parties, doing drugs, and getting their a$$es beat for disrespecting someone’s grandparents.

I am all of my friends grew up all over the this city, and if you are a Man(obviously not) WORTH YOUR SALT these statements would not come out your mouth, because like Unc. A$$ you would get your A$$ beat !.

Do some research on North Philly before you start disrespecting my and thousands of upstanding Black Americans that I thank for some of the best experiences in my life. They taught us very well, and if you are ever in trouble there are about 22 different families in a 12 block radius who DO NOT STAND THERE..they will help you, they will look out for your children, they will feed your children and support them during prom and graduation.

Let us not forget those in Logan Valley, Germantown, West Philly South Philly, Southwest, Yeadon, Sharon Hill, and the other sections…U R definitely not from this City…Read A Book and know when to shut your mouth when grown folk are talking”.!
