Makeda Barnes-Joseph, 23, (above) spoke with The New York Daily News earlier this week as she recovers from being shot twice in the stomach, allegedly by rapper Remy Ma.
“I sit here and I try to think every day, ‘Why is she doing that?’ How can she deny that?’” the 23-year-old realty office administrative assistant told the New York Daily News. “I’m basically confined to the bed now. It’s really hard. It really hurts.”
Barnes-Joseph says she currently has to see a physical therapist every other day, and she also spoke about her disdain for rapper Foxy Brown.
“They feel that they can do whatever they want and get away with it,” fumed Barnes-Joseph. “They think that because they’re rappers that they need to make a name for themselves.”
Remy Ma – whose real name is Remy Smith – allegedly shot Barnes-Joseph after accusing her former friend of stealing $3,000 from her purse when the two left a nightclub in New York last month.
Since her arrest and charge, Remy has confessed her innocence and her lawyers have repeatedly said everything is not what it seems. Not to mention, shortly after the incident Remy’s manager Big Joe (of New Era Management) was quoted as saying,
“I don’t see [Remy] as the kind of person who would shoot someone … [this] criminal investigation will soon turn into a lawsuit for millions of dollars.”

I can’t understand why people are saying Makeda is shady this girl didn’t shoot herself, this incident took place in late May early June it’s now September (almost) that was 2 months ago so what she aint still laying up in the bed. God heald her quicker than doctors expected she still should get paid. Remy provinted her from being able to work, pay her bills and caused her pain and suffering.
