Many Black Groups in Chicago are protesting some of the Hip Hop artists, there are Posters all over the Black communities with the names of numerous rappers (Kanye and Common are not on the list) when these groups heard that Twista was being a spokesperson. They urged Mcdonald’s to stop it then ( Mcdonald’s Headquarters are in Chicago.) After a while Mcdonald’s obliged. Now I’m not saying that there are no Whites who are protesting Hip Hop , but the groups that stopped Twista and McDonald’s were Black

If you look at Nas’ body of work, you will see a catalog of intresting, creative music - even the violent songs. It wasn’t a black community crime, it was a community crime affecting all of us, regardless of race. Be a good parent, be involve in your child’s life, know what your child is doing and where’s they are at in their life. Talk to them. I hear it all the time on the news, that this person had this and that wrong in their life and that’s why they are violent. You don’t have to have money to be able to provide for your child, my parents raised 3 of us on $6/hr in the 80’s, we didn’t wear brand name stuff but they always made time to do things with us on the weekends and made sure they knew what we were doing everyday. I worried everyday about what my kids will have to face as they are growing up.
