It’s been long enough hasn’t it? After 5 years, R. Kelly is finally going on trial for 21 counts of child-Pornography. Aww sh*t:
The criminal case against R. Kelly, which has been pending for five years, is finally headed to trial. At a hearing in Chicago on Wednesday (August 1), Judge Vincent Gaughan said Kelly’s trial will begin on September 17.
“As Robert [Kelly] said many times, he believes in our system of justice,” a spokesperson for the singer told MTV News. “He is looking forward to finally having his day in court. He’s confident that when all the facts come out, it will be clear he’s not guilty of any crime.”
Kelly was charged with 21 counts of child pornography in 2002 (seven of which were later dropped) for allegedly videotaping himself having sex with a girl prosecutors said was 14 years old at the time; he pleaded not guilty…
If Kelly is convicted of the charges, he faces a prison term of up to 15 years and a fine of up to $100,000. read more

Melanie is sticking to her guns and I think that engagement might have edged it more. The former Spice Girl held a press conference yesterday with her lawyer Gloria Allred, accusing Eddie of not stepping up:
Allred, who claims that Murphy “has not paid one penny of child support” for the former couple’s daughter, said she plans to ask the court to award child support and “to decide what is reasonable.”…
“Murphy was promising to do the right thing, but to date he has not done the right thing,” said Allred. “Mr. Murphy can have all the babies he chooses to have, but his responsibility needs to be to his own children. [Brown] is seeking sole physical and legal custody.”

Gary Coleman was scaring people in Utah when he was spotted getting angry during an argument with a woman:

I still don’t understand where Eddie Murphy put this woman on front street. I don’t really follow alot of the entertainment stories, other than what I see on this site. I saw one interview in Europe where Eddie Murphy corrected an interviewer who assumed that “Scary Spice” was pregnant with his child by telling him “don’t be presumptuous”. How is that outright denial? In 30 years in the entertainment industry, Eddie Murphy has probably had hundreds of women claim that he was the father of their child with no credibility. I guess he should’ve taken her word for it from the start to make the women and homosexuals that hate black men happy, lol. Now she pops up again to hold a press conference to announce that she plans to pursue chlid support (and continued face time on American TV). All this happens on the heels of him announcing his engagement to some other woman. If he was a regular negro and she had found out he was moving on, she would’ve keyed his car and put her index finger on his forehead in hopes that he would brush her aside and she could call the white men in blue to arrest him. Unfortunately he’s a black man with a bit of power so she has to use other channels to satiate her vindictiveness. All that being said, Eddie Murphy needs to neutralize this chick by counter-suing for custody and exposing the mess that she calls her life. All of a sudden, she’s a “great mother”, lol. Sis, I’m not biased in this case, I’m just stating another possibility. I believe that, allegedly according to the paternity test, the child is Eddie Murphy’s so it’s his responsibility to care for and provide for the child as a father should. I understand what you’re saying, but Eddie Murphy said more to the press than just “Don’t be presumptious.” Eddie Murphy has been nothing but completely shady in this whole mess. Let me count the ways…
1) Telling reporters, “”I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test.” When, according to Mel B, he knew damn well that the baby was his. She was sure and adamant about it right up to the paternity test–which proved that he was the baby’s father. For him to speak out against Mel B and her pregnancy in such a public way was pretty insulting, even more so when it turned out to be his child like Mel B had been saying all along.
2) Eddie Murphy went public with his out-of-the-blue relationship to Tracey Edmonds before Mel B even knew they were over. She had to find out from tabloids.
3) Once again Eddie also went to the press with his comment about taking responsibility for his child if it turned out to be his. Well, it’s his, and according to sources he still has yet to pay child support or even see his baby.
4) Not to mention the fact that he didn’t even want to do the paternity test like he SAID he was going to do. Once Mel B gave birth Murphy’s ass went into hiding (probably because he KNEW he was wrong) and Mel B had to hunt his ass down with a court order for his DNA sample.
Mel B may be keeping the story in the news now, but let’s not get it twisted: Eddie Murphy was the FIRST to take their business public. He doesn’t deserve for shit to be kept private NOW that his ass got caught out there. He’s been nothing but completely disrespectful to Mel B and HIS child (that shit ain’t “alleged”, Judah, it was a court ordered paternity test and both of them were present for the results) throughout this entire ordeal. Can’t fault Mel B for using what resources she has available to her to make sure Murphy faces his responsibilities with his child. And please, Mel B does not need the facetime–she’s got hers just fine. But just like her lawyer Ms. Allred said, he can afford to by his fiance a big new engagement ring, but won’t even step up to his responsibilities with his child.

Brother, did it ever occur to you or anyone else that he may have received information about things she may have been doing outside of their “relationship” that may have cast doubt, to him, about his paternity? He has to watch his own back and many a woman is SURE that their man was SURE that the baby is his. Now, accoding to the paternity test, the child is his. So he has to go handle his responsibilities. Hell, even for a regular cat around the way, he may get a chic pregnant and different people may come up to him and tell him that they saw his girl “creeping”. A man better, no best, to be sure.
