And for those of you debating on this blog over why the reaction is different when its a black man dating outside of his race, versus a black woman, the answer is ver simple. Black woman are the most disrepected, devalued, denegrated group of woman in our society. We live in a society that tells us that everything we naturally are is wrong. Some of us rise above that, but many of us internalize it and therefore see these relationships as slaps int eh face. I’m not the type of woman who cares who a black man dates. At the end of the day I put all men on my rador and i would never limit myself to waiting for the black man of my dreams. But many other black woman do.

#3. Glad to hear Toni’s safe and I wanted to share some information w/ my sisters regarding cancer and black woman. STOP USING HAIR PRODUCTS WITH PLACENTA OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF HORMONES. MY DOCTOR SHARED A STUDY WITH ME THAT SHOWED THAT BLACK WOMAN HAD HIGHER OCCURENCES OF CANCER DUE TO THE CHEMICAL COMPOUNDS FOUND IN THE HAIR PRODUCTS. We are know for using ALOT of chemicals in our hair unfortuatly, the less chemical you allowed to be absorbed through your scalp the better. I use Carol’s Daughters products, they work well and are chemical, petrolium and mineral oil free.

Hey all, I was checking to see if the Rihanna/Shia thing was for real (btw great 4 her) and I ran across this website. It’s quite intriguing. At first I thought dble standards like Sade had stated. I’ve had my share of comments about inter-racial relationship (marriage, dating,children). I’m not sure if all the ladies who were negative about black men dating non-black women are the same ones commenting on Rihanna and Shia. I’m not going back to check the other posts to see who said what, I’m just going to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. As for that polow post that seems to keep coming up, the main problem there was that Polow wants a servant. Most of the ladies agreed on that, it wasn’t so much that he preferred White woman but that he thought white women SERVED him better than black women. It became more of a let a man be a man, let him take the lead or think that’s he’s taking the lead discussion. there were some side comments regarding religion but it was mostly about “what is submission vs letting him take the lead?” Just my take.

If it’s true, then do your thing, Rhi. Shia’s a cutie. There’s been many celeb hookups much more random than this one!

I’m on my mom and grandmother every year to get a mammogram and what not……i’m 21 but in a year I think i’ll start getting them regularly too….i’ve heard of women as young as 24 getting breast cancer. I’m glad Toni is healthy.

-I am so relieved that Toni is alright. She’s got some wise-words though, ladies. Always show up for your screening, the easiest and most effective way of taking action, if you are diagnosed.

-Good for Rihanna. Just to let you know, black-white marriages aren’t even that high in the US, in the bigger picture. Marriages between Asian women and white men is the most common bi-racial marriage in this country.
