Joe – My Love (full) – listen
I was very impressed with the bulk of the material that Joe had on his latest album, Ain’t Nothin’ Like Me. I had been waiting on the album since last summer when he’d released “Where You At” (featuring Papoose) to radio, as well as the few songs (“Go Hard” written/produced by Bryan-Michael Cox) had leaked. From what I know, this will be the third single that Joe will release from the album, but it just seems like it hasn’t been talked about much. “My Love” is a nice slow jam, also written and produced by the homies Bryan-Michael Cox, Kendrick Dean and Johnta Austin.
Trey Songz – Grub On (Live) (full) – listen
I’ve been e-mailed this song more than a few times, so I had to post it. First of all, I was just wondering what this song was about immediately after reading the title. “Grub On?” Are you serious? I knew that it wasn’t about to be about food. I just knew it. But low and behold, there I was, scratching my head about 30 seconds into the moment that I hit “play.” I have a couple of questions for Trey after this one.
Amerie – Crush (full) – listen
“Crush” is said to have been confirmed as Amerie’s 4th single in the UK. Thank God for it being in the UK and not over here in the States, because she seriously needs to be pushing “That’s What U R” over here. In all honesty though, I do not hate this song. It’s light and airy and makes me think of times past, for some reason. It just feels very early ’90′s, maybe even on the cusp of ’80′s. I’m surprised because most of the material from Amerie’s Because I Love It really just annoyed me.
Keri Hilson – After Love (full) – listen
This song isn’t actually “new,” but I’m sure there are some fans out there that would like to hear the version of “After Love” with just Keri, and no Diddy. So it may be new to some. This is actually one of my favorite songs from Diddy’s much-stretched (hey, he’s had a lot of singles) album, Press Play and the collaboration he did with Keri is one of the best on the album. Keri’s voice just rides the Danjahandz track immaculately. She really just sounds great to me. I can’t wait for her debut album, In A Perfect World.

I think Amerie needs to get back with Rich Harrison…i understand that she wanted 2 try new things musically, but at the same time, look at Janet Jackson…she’s tried other producers, but has still kept with her original team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and for MOST of her career, it’s worked.
Ultimately, i think the chemestry she had with him on the 1st cd especially, and on the 2nd one as well was hot, and when i think of Rich Harrison as a producer, i think of Amerie as his muse, even tho he did stuff for Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Missy etc
No offence to Joe, but the cover of his latest cd was not great…they should never do closeups of him like that.

I applaud her for being different, I’m a loyal fan and all, but she may want to go back in the studio and “re-think” some things before this cd is released in the US. lol.

Joe is the man and will always be the man. Just a fabulous voice and nobody can take that pure talent away from him.
I’ve given up on Amerie. She should be doing easy grooving songs that require no vocal prowess like she did when she came out when I really liked her. There’s nothing worse than somebody not knowing their lane musically. She’s not going to be a mega powerhouse vocal star so she should work what she does best.
Skipped Trey and Keri. I was interested in Keri until I saw two horrible performances of hers online. She sounded so wack live and had no presence. Better behind the scenes musically, but she’s pretty so she looks good in guest video performances. More hype than substance.

I dont understand, ‘Because I Love It has been two years in the making’, & for that amount of time i was expecting big things, but she continues to dissapoint. There are two decent tracks on the whole of the album, ‘thats what U R’ &’Somebody Up There’. This girl needs help!!!
