Joe – My Love (full) – listen
I was very impressed with the bulk of the material that Joe had on his latest album, Ain’t Nothin’ Like Me. I had been waiting on the album since last summer when he’d released “Where You At” (featuring Papoose) to radio, as well as the few songs (“Go Hard” written/produced by Bryan-Michael Cox) had leaked. From what I know, this will be the third single that Joe will release from the album, but it just seems like it hasn’t been talked about much. “My Love” is a nice slow jam, also written and produced by the homies Bryan-Michael Cox, Kendrick Dean and Johnta Austin.
Trey Songz – Grub On (Live) (full) – listen
I’ve been e-mailed this song more than a few times, so I had to post it. First of all, I was just wondering what this song was about immediately after reading the title. “Grub On?” Are you serious? I knew that it wasn’t about to be about food. I just knew it. But low and behold, there I was, scratching my head about 30 seconds into the moment that I hit “play.” I have a couple of questions for Trey after this one.
Amerie – Crush (full) – listen
“Crush” is said to have been confirmed as Amerie’s 4th single in the UK. Thank God for it being in the UK and not over here in the States, because she seriously needs to be pushing “That’s What U R” over here. In all honesty though, I do not hate this song. It’s light and airy and makes me think of times past, for some reason. It just feels very early ’90′s, maybe even on the cusp of ’80′s. I’m surprised because most of the material from Amerie’s Because I Love It really just annoyed me.
Keri Hilson – After Love (full) – listen
This song isn’t actually “new,” but I’m sure there are some fans out there that would like to hear the version of “After Love” with just Keri, and no Diddy. So it may be new to some. This is actually one of my favorite songs from Diddy’s much-stretched (hey, he’s had a lot of singles) album, Press Play and the collaboration he did with Keri is one of the best on the album. Keri’s voice just rides the Danjahandz track immaculately. She really just sounds great to me. I can’t wait for her debut album, In A Perfect World.

I love Joe’s album, he is such a talented man. And, gasp!, he can actually sing unlike most of these nasally whiny boys that try and call themselves R& B singers these days.
That Amarie track reminds me of something that Madonna would have passed on in the 80s, and I’m not a Madonna fan so… I think she really needs to go back to the easy breezy stuff that she did on her first album (and like Thats What U R) because all this new stuff does is highlight the fact that her voice isn’t that strong.

And I don’t see what the big deal about Keri Hilson is, her voice is just ok, just like that song. But I guess after all the waterdowned craptastic R&B out there she might seem like a savior to some…

Trey – R. Kelly much? Great voice, however, but the subject is pretty thin.
Amerie – Though she is my favorite singer, I am not biased. “Crush” is just another great song from her great album (and it’s not even the best one). I don’t see how people can say that she can’t sing and that she doesn’t have her own “style”. Do they have functioning ears???
I can see if you said Amerie’s album doesn’t appeal to you, to say it’s bad makes you look like an idiot. Her album is by no means awful (however, if you’re expecting smooth R&B and hip-hop, this is NOT the album for you! this album is pop through-and-through, but GOOD pop), and if you knew anything about her music, you’d know that she has has a VERY consistent style (90s influence, gogo, etc.). Before you people criticize someone, actually KNOW what you’re talking about. Also, she’s a great live singer. She can do the high thing, the low thing, and when she needs to, she can belt something out.
Keri – She’s okay. My friend used to play this song all the time, and I actually thought it was Rihanna at first. I still don’t have an actual opinion on her voice, though.

I really don’t care to talk about anyone’s music posted except Amerie. I read the comment that says find your own style…WTF…She has her own style. Her first album was on point (still listen to it, like it just came out), her second album was on point & it was completely different from the first album (still listen to it, like it just came out), her mixtape came out (pure fire)! And this album is great. Paint me over is the best cut hands down, but the album is fire, again it is completely different from all the other albums she put out prior. It took me a listen or two for some of the tracks, but now I have to listen to at least one of her cd’s before I go to bed. I don’t expect everyone to like her, but she isn’t a flop or half as awful as some make her out to be. Her pen game is crazy…..WHEW!lol

She is in a totally different lane and you can tell she loves what she does (Because I Love It). She wrote all her songs on this album and co-and executive produced it. She wanted to take credit for herself. Rich Harrison was Amerie. Yes, he wrote all her songs and produced all her tracks. Amerie was probably the singer he always wanted to be as strange as that sounds. But to everyone who is saying she should get back, “they had chemistry”. Yeah maybe in the future but Rich Harrison was collecting all her money!!! When you don’t write or produce (Rihanna) you don’t get
any money. Unless you can luck up a signature Umberella-ella or American Express deal then your SOL if your records don’t sell (Toni Braxton). She just wanted to be her own woman and you can’t fault her for that!

Amerie is do her own thing with the 80′s style, and I respect her for that. It’s too bad people in the states will only buy what their radio stations think is cool. After listening to the other three songs, i have to say I liked both Amerie and Keri’s songs.
Trey Songz’s Grub On -is nothing new (as far as the concept) it is what is! I can’t say I totally don’t like it,but it just the same ole package wrapped in a different bow!
Overall, I think all are okay songs!
