Nicole Scherzinger feat. Will.I.Am – Baby Love (full) – listen
Apparently, Ms. Scherzinger wants to go for the pop mid-tempo “Baby Love” for the second single as oppose to “Super Villain” for her upcoming album, Her Name Is Nicole. I don’t think either of them are a good follow-up single for “Whatever You Like.” At first, I was a little shaky about this song because the vocals towards the beginning of the track. But as you get deeper into the song, you can definitely see where it’s going. Although the song was produced by Will.I.Am, famed Black Eyed Peas member, this song has a very Stargate & Ne-Yo (think “Irreplaceable” & Rihanna’s “Good Girl Gone Bad”) feel. Still, I don’t know how I feel about this being single number 2.
Fabolous feat. T-Pain & Jermaine Dupri – Baby Don’t Go (full) – listen
Fabolous is doing really great with the single choices from his latest album, From Nothin’ to Somethin’. He’s always done a great job, to me, at picking singles. I’m not even mad at the T-Pain feature. As I’ve mentioned before in new music reviews, Fabolous is always great at choosing the biggest and hippest artists feature on his tracks. He doesn’t every steer too far from what’s hot for his album features. “Baby Don’t Go” is Fabolous’s third single. He’s having a great run. Don’t forget to check out Angel’s Exclusive Interview with him, if you haven’t already.
Sterling Simms – Give Me A Chance (full) – listen
I have a love/hate relationship with Sterling Simms. Meaning sometimes I love his material, and sometimes I absolutely hate it. However, with “Give Me A Chance,” I was drawn to the production of it, and then the vocal arrangement. Even though Sterling’s voice isn’t one that’s extra impressive, I have to admit that contemporary material like this that he has makes my excitement come back around for his project. Even though it’s nothing ground-breaking, and very different, I can respect what Sterling is doing. He’s been on his grind for quite a while.
J. Holiday feat. Jermaine Dupri – Bed (SoSoDef Remix) (full) – listen
Not sure how many remixes of this song can be made, but there have been several. Even though J. Holiday has put out one of the sexiest songs of the summer, I’m a little afraid for his project. Back of My Lac, due out October 2, hasn’t really shown me anything that I’ve been too fond of, besides “Bed” and one other doo-whoop-ish song that I kind of liked. But anyways, I don’t know how many remixes this song can have. There have been so many! It’s just so funny hearing JD on it, ’cause all I can think about is Janet. Ha.

i HATE when remixes have the same beat as the original song. that fabolous song gets on my nerves.
