It’s drawing closer and closer to the release of Kanye’s much anticipated Graduation album – so you know it’s time for tracks to leak. “Homecoming” is the latest to be found. It features Coldplay front man, Chris Martin, whom the hip hop community has taken a liking to. I really like the song, I’ve been listening to it over and over again. The production, of course, is tight and I just like the overall vibe of the song. Don’t shoot me, but it sort of reminds me of Elton John. It’s the piano. Anyway, Graduation is out September 11!
Omarion feat. Kat DeLuna – Cut Off Time (full) – listen
I’m a fan of dance music, and the production on this song gives me that all day long. Although I can’t say right away that I’m a fan of either Omarion or Kat DeLuna, but there’s something about this song that I like. But where is it coming from? I know Kat’s album had a limited amount of songs, and Omarion is working on the Face Off with Bow Weezy… I don’t know, we’ll see.
Cherish – Shoe Fanatic (full) – listen
I knew Cherish was up to something when I heard that song “Keep It Fresh,” and even though I wasn’t feeling that, as mediocre and materialistic this song is, there is something fun about it. And I have to admit, the girls don’t sound bad. As gimmicky as they are (the whole twin sisters, and then extra family members thrown in – and they harmonize really well with eachother), I can’t take away the fact that these girls really do sound good together. New album in the works?
Alicia Keys – No One (snippet) – listen
I need to hear the whole thing. I like what I’ve heard, but I really hear the whole thing because snippets this short always get me into trouble. I either like the snippet, or hate the whole song, or hate the snippet and love the whole song – it never fails. I’m glad that Alicia is coming back out though. Seriously, she looks absolutely amazing in those new promo pictures that Angel posted.

(2 or 3 posts a week) now rather than the celeb gossip/ news fix that we all come here for.
Not that I mind the reviews, but I tend to agree with that poster. It’s a bit much lately.

I don’t know what it is but I’m just not feeling Kanye this time around. None of the songs I’ve heard have been that live. Maybe I just need to spend more time listening to them but off rip, I’m just not feeling it.

I am such a HUGE FAN of Kayne and Coldplay so to hear them both on one track is definetely ear candy for me…..Alicia can do no wrong so snippet or not I am feeling her and I am anxiously waiting for her CD. And I will agree with some of the post…I will JAM to T-pain but his CD for me is just not something worth purchasing, downloading etc….It’s nice to see artist like Common, Kayne, Mos Def etc. get the recognition they deserve in a market that is saturated with full blown COONERY (i.e. Pretty Ricky, Shop Boyz and whoever else looks like someone feed them after midnight….LOLOL)

i am loving the alicia keys. i like the cherish song a lil.
Yeah, the original version of this Kanye song is BETTER. It has John Legend, and another original feat. Jay. I dont really feel this version, and it would be wack if he used album space for this, cause people who listen to Kanye have surely heard this before. The original is just called “Home.”

i’m not a huge alicia fan. i think her lyrics are juvenile so in that area she’s overrated but when it comes to playing the piano/making melodies, she kills it to me. i just zone out the words and listen to the music. this clip obviously shows her talent for making melodies
i love love kanye. finally a hip-hop dude who does something different (aside from common, mos def, and some others ). hip hop gets such a bad rap b/c of ppl like hurricane chris. ppl who don’t listen to hip hop just see it as a genre that promotes gun violence, sex, drugs, etc. but it’s so much more than that so i love it when artists come out and show ppl that the “you can’t spell crap without rap” argument is complete bs

Chris Martin does seem to be the go to guy, but this song has nothing on beach chair from Kingdom Come. I still can’t wait for Kanye’s album though. Its gonna put Fiddy’s album to shame (Curtis has already leaked on the net) .
And I agree Alicia Keys is a bit overrated. Just because someone doesn’t make pop r&b doesn’t make them or their music automatically great. I can’t judge by the snippet, but its leaning towards wack at this rate. And I’m not trying to hate either, because she is very talented.

Kat DeLuna is the stuff. Her album is surprisingly very gooood. The girl has a good set of pipes on her. She’s only 19, but her voice sounds so much older (it’s mature, but without being corny and gimmicky).
However, since she is actually talented, don’t expect to see her anywhere.

You know what’s crazy is that Kanye’s ‘Home’ is a left over song from ‘College Dropout’, it was on the advanced copy of the CD, but with a different beat that was more like his sped-up-soul-sample style.
