Even though we posted this in the Hot or Not section of our site, I’m posting this again because that was a radio rip, and this is a CD quality version of the song. It has actually grown on me a lot, since listening to it a couple of times. I still want Keyshia to find some versatility with her topics. I think that this new album, Just Like You is going to be a good look for her, though. I’m pretty excited to hear the rest of the material, considering the people she’s working with.
Razah – Rain (full) – listen
We did another Hot or Not post about this young man not too long ago, with his single, featuring Rihanna. Even though I wasn’t digging it, I think I like this song a little better. There’s nothing spectacular about his voice or even the production, it’s nothing to write home about. But I don’t hate it. It’s nice a background music for something. Just not something I’m jumping out of my seat about. I’m glad he’s got other material coming out though.
Jennifer Lopez feat. Ludacris – Do It Well (Remix) (full) – listen
Jennifer Lopez’s new single’s already got a remix out (before the video even drops), featuring Ludacris. Your boy Luda has been on a lot of stuff as of late, so yo know what that means! Of course, his delivery is always fun and I guess it just makes the single more so fun than it was before. I heard this song at a party recently, and I kind of liked it, so I can’t even hate on Jenny Lo anymore.
Sammie feat. Jazze Pha – Feelin’ It (full) – listen
A new album in the works for Sammie? I really hope for some success for this boy, because I really was feeling that “You Should Be My Girl” song – even though that last album didn’t do so well. Samme hasn’t really been able to make a good transition to child artist to serious adult artist. But it looks like he’s gotten back in the studio with Jazze Pha to come up with some new material. We’ll see…
What I’m saying is Compton Chick how many times are a LOT of artists are going to touch the same subjects? I’m saying that criticizing Keyshia for touching the same subject over and over again it’s like all artists do that not just Keyshia
Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson,Fantasia, Musiq Soulchild etc etc.
Sure there are artists who do different things than main stream artists but Beyonce and a lot of those you mentioned are not a part of that. The only two that are doing things different from mainstream music NOT original is Kelis and Janelle.

Creative and Original are two different words sweetie and Webster’s will tell you the difference.
And just because your a fan of garbage r&b does not mean that my tastes in music are skewed. I listen to Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Angie Stone as well so I’m not just interested in the upbeat r&b.
Stop being narrow minded and expand your tastes and you’ll be able to understand when I say creative r&b. R&B music that isn’t just a slapped on piano melody and lyrics that consist of “I love you…” and “baby.”

Keyshia new single is decent. It is not all that. I don’t think this upcoming album is going to be better than her first album where she put her heart into it.
The new guy that sings rain has a beautiful voice. I am really feeling his song and the beat. I thought Rihanna was on this, but hope to see him on the countdowns. Abou time we are starting to have some real artists coming out.
Alicia new song is alright. I think it could have been better. I don’t think she should let that song out first because she ahs been gone for so long.

J.Lo’s remix is hott….her shyt is always hot. She doesn’t have the best vocals but she does better on the charts than her peers who indeed have better vocals because her beats are sick, dance moves are tight, look is off the chain, and her appeal to audiences is well…it speaks for itself. As long as she makes me wanna move, I’m happy with her artistry.
Keyshia’s song is disappointing, i feel l ike i’ve heard this before…….boring….and it the beginning sounds like Mary’s Enough Cryin…as much as i’d like to hate on J.Lo i can’t…..i’m feeling this song! damn it I feel dirty and ashamed now!

keyshia is doing big things. i love her voice and i love this song. i will def be getting her album. she def has staying power with that voice. and even though she’s got the little ghetto fab thing going on, with a voice like that no one cares.

OMG…lol, I just realized that the instrumental to J.Lo’s song sounds almost exactly like “Lights,Camera,Action” by Mr. Cheeks. But Ludacris didn’t add anything to the song, sorry to say. Just keep it rap-free J.Lo.

It is so funny how some people criticize Keyshia’s new songs saying she needs to be creative and original and she wants to take MJB’s spot. But people used to criticize Mary the same way if not worse. Mary J. Blige in the early 90s would get chew’d up by critics from her sampling music, being too ghetto, no originality, bad attitude, to her music having the same topics. But she still managed to go platinum on all of her offical albums. So if Keyshia which it seems relate to soo many people like MJB did she will continue to sell records. But MJB music did not change until she got herself together mentally.
