Sean Kingston – Beautiful Girls
Don’t ask me how they did it, but “Beautiful Girls” is one of the hugest songs in the country. Sean Kingston’s song just seemed to pop up on the radio and everyone loved it. It transcends age barriers, race barriers, everything. It’s funny, because when I first heard it, I thought it was Amy Winehouse on speed. But then I got into the lyrics and realized that this was a lonely boy who’d been made “suicidal” by some beautiful girls, I just wasn’t feeling it at all. I can’t knock it though, it’s huge. I thought that perhaps the dancehall/reggae era in mainstream pop had died down, but it’s been resurrected by no one other than Sean Kingston, who released his debut album just this past Tuesday.

As I’ve said before, isnt anyone the least bit disturbed by the fact that this song says hes suicidal? LOL. Get a grip.
They’re letting anyone make a song these days…waste of time.
NICE WAY TO SAMPLE BUT WHAT’S NEXT FOR THIS KID???
#1, I know right! I was almost mortified with my little 8 year cousin was walking around talking about “they’ll make you suicidal, suicidal…” LOL.
I like the fact that he’s chubby…all these other young singer are little and skinny. Give me hope…LOL!
make it go awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!
I cringed when I first heard this song. I think I’ve given up on modern music….this ish is getting ri-damn-diculous!
I can’t really hate on him. The message is true, regardless of his age! And everyone knows how it feels to be in love with a fine mofo that you can’t seem to keep! It makes you feel like dieing! Do it Sean!
The song is addictive.
aaww man..he looks alil fruity in that pic
I’M JUST SAYIN I CAN ALREADY SEE THIS ONE ON VH1′S “ONE HIT WONDERS” IN LIKE 5YRS.
LOL @ #4. Sean, I’m glad that someone likes your music….I damn sure don’t.
I effing hate that song with a passion. Like seriously, it seems like anyone (any dude at least) can get a record deal these days. At least if you’re a girl you have to be attractive. I mean, anyone (ANYONE) could do what he’s doing right now, but I’ll give him props for being 17 and having the hustle to get discovered.
@1
yes I am mortified-my daughter heard the song and she was singing it and I told her mommy doesn’t like that song it’s not nice-don’t sing it.
so far so good, but damn to turn someone’s sadness into a pop song-uh uh

Somebody please shoot me now. This is one of the main reason why I cannot/refuse to listen to the radio! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!
LOL @ #5. It has a catchy something, but I usually turn the station if it comes on.
i like the song not because its reggae but because its real catchy. the beat is tight and i love the fact that big people are taking over lol.
I saw dude on 106 the other day and he is huge! I thought he was a short, chubby kid. Well he is chubby but damn he’s like 6’3! He need to be out linebacking somewhere.
I’m so tired of this shit, please don’t encourage this mess and talking about dancehall and reggae this fool is more than likely from Detroit or somewhere. (He doesn’t have an accent ior anything when he talks.
that song really fvkkin sucks! I discovered it while sitting in the car, and after 1 minute of being hypnotized by the stupidity of it, I finally snapped out of in disgust and changed the station. utter crap.
this song is still hott garbage
He looks like Grimace the purple thing from Mcdonalds
i can’t hate, dude is like 17 doing what he loves.
if we could all be so lucky.
he has his chance let’s see where he goes from here.
btw i like me love much better than beautiful girls.
#26–Oh shyt you’re wrong for that!
WTF is Grimace anyway? A giant blueberry or a purple turd, lol!!!
His little CHUNKY ASS got called out the other day on radio because his ACCENT was GONE while doin the interview… Guess he figures if MADONNA can now sound BRITISH so can his on SWOLE azz with this reggae sound… YAWN…
^^^ # 29 LMAO!
Kids don’t know how to deal with issues as it is and this is a 17 year old that sings this sorry ass song and to hear this dumb-ass song on heavy rotation on the radio, I switch stations or pop in a cd. He really needs to seek counseling if its that serious.
His uncle is supposed to be Buju Banton, so his dancehall bonafides are in order; that said, I hope he has an investment plan, cause he’ll be hardpressed to follow this up…PEACE.
Music is all about the all mighty dollar now…anything with a beat sells, no matter what the song is about, it’s gonna be a hit. I don’t care who Sean Kingston’s grandfather is, he’s still whack (talent doesn’t always run in the family, look at the Knowles sisters…) and I can’t believe that this gorilla lookin’ boy is foolin’ these white folks on MTV into thinking that this is what is hot, talking about being suicidal is not hot, it’s pathetic…bet anything he’s gonna be a one hit wonder
Mommy, make him stop…. Please….
He vaguely reminds me of big mike on mtb4 for some insane reason. His voice does not go with his look. and ya’ll mean to tell me this kid isn’t from Jamaica?? he Ja Fakin his way to the top??!!! That is so unfair seeing that there is so much aspiring artists out there trying to get on. People who have something to sing about…okaay.
wen i first heard tha song…i wasn’t a big fan of it. i thought it wuldn’t be az big az it iz now. but..i’ve grown to like tha song unfortunately. tha hook iz wat makes tha song. i jst luv tha harmonies he put 2gether for it. but hey..keep doin’ ya thang sean.
I really don’t care for his material….
I REALLY hope that he doesn’t kill Common’s album sales….
DON’T SUPPORT THE FAT KID….
….BUY COMMON’S ALBUM “FINDING FOREVER” TODAY ITS 9.99 @ BEST BUY SO THERE ARE NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t stand this fake Jamaican guy.
The radio stopped playing the suicidal part of the song & it’s substituted with “They’ll make you in denial…” MTV cut the whole word out. I was kinda uneasy about that as well.
R.K.J.Ville3000 You try to fucking hard Sit the fuck down somewhere
For one brilliant, flickering moment, she was poised to become a star. By the age of 17, Lindsay Lohan had played lead roles in four major films, two of them significant hits. In 2004, her first album had gone platinum. Mean Girls had opened at $24 million and had transported her from cute kid to budding sex symbol and style icon. Hollywood wanted to mold her into the next Julia Roberts. By last week, at the age of 21, she had blown it all away. ”She had the world at her feet,” says the head of a major studio. ”And right now, she’d have to pay a studio to get herself into a movie.”
On July 24, just 11 days after leaving rehab, Lohan was arrested for cocaine possession and suspicion of drunk driving. Whether she does time or not, she’s built her own prison in Hollywood. Her latest film, I Know Who Killed Me, premiered last week to an abysmal $3.5 million. ”The rate at which she has fallen, and gotten back up, and fallen again, does not inspire confidence,” says one producer. ”It’s always challenging for a young actor to mature into an adult star. It takes great planning, sophistication, and judgment. She hasn’t shown any of those things.” Lohan has not had a hit since Mean Girls, and her grosses have been declining. She hasn’t opened a movie above $10 million since 2005′s Herbie: Fully Loaded. Of the producers and high-ranking execs who spoke to Entertainment Weekly — some of whom have worked with Lohan, and most of whom insisted on anonymity so they could speak frankly — almost none would hire her now. ”Her career was over long before she had these troubles,” says the studio head. ”The media treat her like she’s Will Smith or Tom Cruise, like she’s some big star, but she simply isn’t.”
If Lohan wanted to blame somebody other than herself, she wouldn’t have to look far. There’s her mother, who seems to want to be a best friend rather than a parent. There’s her ex-con father. There’s the L.A. bar scene that serves underage stars and Hollywood’s compulsion to turn child actors into products, plus a frenzied 21st-century media culture that has made Lohan and other celebs into exotic prey in flashbulb cages. ”It’s ridiculous how different things are than they were 10 years ago,” says Robert Downey Jr., who declined to speak about Lohan specifically, but waged his own public battle with addiction. ”Nowadays, the leap from instant stardom to instant bad boy or girl is so quick. It’s a real challenge to reconcile your own process of becoming an adult with the temptation of celebrity.”
Lohan’s young, but to say she’s a victim of the blogarazzi misses the point. She was, after all, created by that very same culture. And she didn’t exactly object. Without all the tabloid covers and red carpets and cell-phone photos and mug shots, Lohan would not be a household name; she would simply be a talented ingenue with a substance-abuse problem, a messed-up family, and a mediocre box office record. Harsh? Maybe so, but that’s the cold calculus of Hollywood. ”Her troubles are what made her famous,” says one studio exec. ”Her films don’t open. She’s a pain to work with. I think she’s done.” Others go so far as to worry that career death may be the least of Lohan’s concerns. Says another exec: ”I think she has to stay alive.”
Dude’s Accent is fake…and his music is stupid. Get the Paper though
I heard his album tha other day. It was pretty good. Somebody’s talent shouldn’t be based off the whether or not they look good.
lol, so I wasn’t the only one who thought that was Amy Winehouse at first aye? *is relieved*
Maybe I’m late but has anyone noticed that MTV blocks out suicidal when they show the video between shows.
dayum all these bulllllllshiiit ass soooooonnnngggsssss….they come out wit now-a-days, they’ll have you sui-cidal, sui-cidal, when you list-en to the radio to-daaaaayyyy………
boooo
somebody get him a girlfriend please so he could shut up and sit down!!
damn he is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ugggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggly. damn no wonder why he lonely I really don’t like him or his music I really don’t see any talent!!
I dont like the song, kids have been singing the song and repeating the SUICIDAL part and i know thats not healthy.
1. Networking its true, its kind of nice to see chubby folks now a days.
2. Yeah suicidal is kind of pushing it.. now i can see homicidal..* thinking of when my mama chased her ex down the street with an ice pick*
3. He cant sing though, hes no ruben!..
Yuuuck! I hate this song with a passion.
#43- I agree 100%…. From what I hear, the album is pretty good. Give the kid a chance and don’t judge him by his looks.
i hate this song ,then again, i not too happy with the turn hip hop and r&b has made recently. It all sounds the same too me, its like nobody (with an exceptional few) wants to make decent music anymore.
If you wanna buy REAL music, please support folks like Common. STOP supporting (c)rap and r&B.
Isn’t Common a (c)rapper though?
lmao@these comments……and yet ya’ll criticized a few of us for not liking M.I.A..
and how quick are we to complain about “suicidal” being in a song when the majority of music out now consists of the same bullshit only they’re more blunt with it…dont act like your kids, neices and nephews, etc arent out singin shit worse than this.
and wtf cause he’s BIGGER than other singers?????and people wonder why nicole richie and these other females walking around looking like bobbleheads
wow, i’m confused then, since everyone seems to hate the song, then how the hell is it so big?!
Wow , I thought his album was going to be HORRID; but. It’s kinda nice… It’s for one of those, “I Feel Like Being White” moments… lmao!! Y’all know y’all be having one… but anyways it’s for one of those… all of em seem very catchy good single materal… I’m not really feeling beautiful girls but its okay not my choice.
SEAN KINGSTON = not really jamaician. I don’t believe that his name seems fake.
Also, um. Why does he wear the same outfit?
Aoki♥
