The role Janet is playing was made for the movie. Her character is not a character in the play. How do u know that she is not suited for the character? You don’t know anything about the character.

Janet does not look bloated and the role was wriiten into the movie, not a part of the play. Jill Scott plays “Sheila” from the play. The play was good, Cheryl “Pepsii” can sang her ass off!!! I am looking foward to seeing this, it is good to see us in something that is not “hood”

I saw the stage play version and it was GREAT. I don’t think the movie will do it justice. Jill is perfectly suited for the role but Janet? No. Try again.
I really wish Tyler would come out of the closet already.
Ms Mac….Janet’s character was not in the play. Her role was created for the movie. She’s a diva. So kill it…stop hatin’. Just like a nigga to judge a performance based on a trailer. So typical. And as for Tyler coming out of the closet. Why should he? How many successful Black celebrities have come out of the closet and still remained successful? His personal life has nothing to do with this movie. I think it will be good but I will find out when I check it out this fall.

I just read some of the comments about this film and some of you people need to really understand the meaning of hard work! This is ONLY for the negative comments from people. First of all Tyler Perry came from being homeless and living in his car to becoming a very wealthy man. He has Jesus in his life and if you can’t understand that then I’m sorry for you. When you have Jesus in your life miracles happen and people that don’t have a personal relationship with the Lord will NEVER understand true success. So, please STOP with the ignorant & bad comments about Tyler Perry or any other actor and be HAPPY for people doing good for our people. The sad part is that some of you making the negative comments are the same ones that will go out and buy rap music that display all negatives regarding loose women, drugs, killing and gang violence. But, when some African American comes along and speaks of positive things such as movies & plays you talk negative about it. We as African Americans need to just STOP doing that! Learn how to be happy for one another when we become successful. When you have Jesus in your life your life will change for the better as well! It did for me. Think about it.

#60 and #62 Tyler Perry is a christian so of course all of his movies are going to be religious based…if you don’t like them don’t go see them. Would you ask a gospel artist to not have religious based music? Or ask a preacher to tone down his message? NO Leave Tyler alone and let him be. He’s obviously trying to reach people like you so let’s support this talented African American man of God. It’s better for him to be religious based than sex, drugs, and alcohol based like every other “black film”.
