No, I never read the “16 Crucified Saviours”. There are other books about the origins of the Jesus story. I will look for it though. All these books are the same in that they show the story of Jesus existed before him. If you want to believe in the story of Yeshua then believe in him. Just know that it’s a repeated story.
Yes many of the Bible’s detractors do not read the book themselves! Many just pick on it for the sake of picking on it. But I grew up a Christian, I dont dislike/hate them. I never celebrated the Christmas or Easter because they are pagan in origin(Judah, don’t repeat this too many times to the concreteloop.com masses, because you too will become a sinner). I have read the Bible extensively throughout the years. It is not 100% factual. The Noah story is proof. It can not be backed scientifically. Whether you want to give the obviously expected answer of “God’s angels/force/spirit guided them” or not, the truth is the story is a fable. Pick one, did the angels guide them or did they walk across the landmass? Because Australia broke off from Pangea A LONG time ago, way before Noah.
And “Judah” using Bible scriptures to back up the Bible is like using a “gansta” rapper’s lyrics he wrote in the studio to back up what he says is real life. See I’m in mathematics and in order to say something is truth, you actually need a “proof”. Outside sources have to be used to show the writings in the individual books of the Bible are actually fact. But our debate doesn’t actually matter does it? I came to the realization a long time ago that it’s up to each person to decide to have faith in something or not. Alot of people choose faith because it makes them feel safe, loved, and a hope for the future or in the Flood story it connects the dots. And that’s cool! I choose facts, not beliefs that were passed down to me from those before me because I don’t want a wool pulled over my eyes.

Lastly the argument that you cannot use the Bible to prove the Bible is an argument that people have attempted to use before, and it didn’t work those times and it won’t work now. The reason that you can use the Bible to prove the Bible is because the veracity of the Bible gets put on trial and under scrutiny by people that don’t know what they’re talking about. For example, if we were having a debate over the Constitution and I said that the Constitution said something that it didn’t say, you would disprove me by either quoting the Constitution of providing a link to the disputed portion of the Constitution. You wouldn’t say, “…according to this book, what you’re saying about the Constitution is incorrect…”, unless you were an idiot. Another example would be if Obviously, what it really is brother is that you respect the word of man over the Word of God. How the hell can man’s word be used to either prove or disprove the Word of God. That’s ridiculous.

The Bible is not a book to be taken as a history book, it’s a book about the many facets of God, about the relationship of God and human kind. God blessed us with intelligence, he’s not insulting us by trying to make us believe things that never happened, that is not the point of the Bible. The many stories of the Bible like The Flood, Noah’s Arc, The Creation stories and many more are all stories to be analysed because there is an undelying meaning/story on who God is and what his intentions are.
In litterature metaphors are often used to convey a message, and that’s what most of those so-called “fictional” stories you talk about are meant for, to convey a message about what God we are worshipping. I could go on and on, and get deeper into the subject bcuz i took an Intro to Biblical studies class that was offered at my school that explained a lot of things about the Bible and still doesn’t discredit the Bible. But my post would be too long and i would have to talk to you face-to-face in order to explain.
You have to read the Bible not to only read it, but to analyse it, understand it and decipher underlying meanings and messages about what God wants to tell us.

Honestly, sis, you’re getting a little too metaphysical. The Bible actually is a history book with prophecies. It’s used as a primary resource by archaeologists and historians. There are many civilizations and empires that existed that were unknown of aside from biblical sources (i.e. the Assyrian Empire which was discovered from biblical sources). Even if you met up with a brother like Oatsuzn face to face, you would have to prove to him, and myself for that matter, why you believe what you believe about the Bible. You can’t combat rational, logical people with emotionalism because then it does start to sound like what the detractors of the Bible accuse the believers of being, superstitious. The Bible itself says to PROVE all things (I Thes 5:21).

And yes, many verses are meant to be taken word for word, but some others have to be studied. I don’t know what you interpreted from my post, but i don’t mean to say that the Bible does not PROVE anything, the Bible is more than just about proving, it’s about teaching faith, learning about the Greatness of God and how to live and understand life by it’s word. If you don’t study and try to understand His word, than that is not possible.

We really don’t have an argument sis. The only thing I’m saying is that sometimes people try to turn the Bible into a Shakespearean sonnet and start to go into their own vain interpretation. The Bible says not to do that (II Pet 1:20,21). As far as the categories that you mentioned; those categories were determined by man, not the Most High. The Bible is just the Bible. It’s a series of written records either pertaining to law, prophecy, or history. When you read the Bible, there are books of written records mentioned within the Bible that are not contained within the Bible itself (i.e The Book of Jasher: Jos 10:13, II Sam 1:18, The Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah: I Kings 14:29, 15:7, etc.). That’s not to mention the apocrypha, which is definitely worth your investment if you have the chance.
No disrespect to you sis, but most of these college courses misrepresent the Bible and most of these theological professors don’t know a damn thing. This is why they have to take stories that they don’t understand and put a “human” spin on them. In regards to the Creation story, understand that the Most High is unchangeable (Mal 3:6) so there are no two different stories or two different aspects to God. We as human beings can change and be fallible, but not God. Chapter two of Genesis is only a continuation of chapter one. In Gen 1:26-28 the Most High has Christ and the angels create MANKIND, not just Adam and Eve as taught in the churches. That’s why in verse 26 it says, “…let us make man in OUR image; after OUR likeness…”. That’s because Christ and the angels created mankind, as also stated in Prov 8:22-36, I Cor 8:6, Col 1:13-17, and Heb 11:3. Then in verse 27 it says, “…male and female created he THEM…”. Man and woman of the various nations (races) were created in multitudes. All this was on the 6th day (Gen 1:27-31).
The second chapter picks up after the 6th day and continues onward past the Sabbath Day, so that proves that Adam and Eve were chosen out from amongst the nations already created and were not the “first two people”. They were just the first two people of note. The Most High chose Adam from amongst the nations to care for the Garden of Eden the same way he later chose Abraham from among the nations(Gen 2:5, Gen 12:1-3). When it says that the Lord “breathed life” into Adam, that means that the Most High chose him as a righteous man and bestowed upon him the laws, statutes, and commandments. The story is not an allegory. It is an actual account with allegorical elements. All the righteous men of God were described as having the “breath of life”, which is just the wisdom of God through his laws (Gen 2:7, Job 33:4-6, Ezek 37:5-10). Eve was a female relative in kinship to Adam because the Lord always deals with the seedline when establishing a divine nation for his purposes. He did the same when he had both Isaac and Jacob marry their cousins (Gen 24:1-4, Gen 29:10-13). Once the nation of Israel was established the Lord forbade marriage amongst certain relatives (Lev 18:6-20). The term “rib” was used to intimate that they were relatives as seen in Gen 29:13,14, II Sam 5:1, etc. Once again, it’s an actual account with elements of a parable.
Now what YOU have to understand is that the target audience from Genesis to Revelation is the Israelites (Psa 147:19,20). The Bible is not a novel with various point of views and perspectives. All the scriptures that have been notated were recorded because the Lord knew that we would not know who we were in the last days and it’s incumbent upon us to figure it out (Deut 32:26, Psa 78:1-8, Psa 102:18, Rom 15:4, Col 1:26, etc.). The reason why these records known as the Bible have been made privy to all nations is because the Israelites were conquered and the conquerors know that the Bible is the truth and the land of Israel is the Lord’s chosen land (Luke 21:24, Rom 11:25, Rev 11:1,2, etc.)
