Director John Singleton has accidentally killed a 57-year-old woman in a car crash in Los Angeles.
The Boyz N the Hood filmmaker was driving his SUV in the city on Thursday at about 8pm, when a female pedestrian, not in a crosswalk, suddenly stepped in front of Singleton’s car.
A spokesman for Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Singleton was neither speeding nor under the influence of drugs or alcohol and described the incident as “a very, very unfortunate accident.” The spokesman added that Singleton waited at the scene for police and an ambulance to arrive.
The woman has been identified as Constance Russell of Los Angeles.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has suspended Michael Vick indefinitely for his role in Bad Newz Kennels. The suspension came just hours after Vick acknowledged that he bankrolled gambling on dogfighting and participated in the gruesome killing of some dogs that were deemed not worthy of fighting.
“Your admitted conduct was not only illegal, but also cruel and reprehensible. Your team, the NFL, and fans have all been hurt by your actions,” said Goodell in a letter to the ex-Falcons quarterback.
“Your plea agreement and the plea agreements of your co-defendants also demonstrate your significant involvement in illegal gambling. Even if you personally did not place bets, as you contend, your actions in funding the betting and your association with illegal gambling both violate the terms of your NFL Player Contract and expose you to corrupting influences in derogation of one of the most fundamental responsibilities of an player.”
Vick faces up to five years in prison for his crimes.

Every since he made that all spanish movie and is asking us black americans to spend our money on it, he has soured with me. Why the heck should american blacks support the spanish who are taking all of our jobs and now a stupid azz black man is helping them to rise in hollywood. IS HE CRAZE???

Man that is totally ridiculous. Mike Vick gets all these fines, penalties, not 2 mention possible prison time. But Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton all risked the lives of innocent people driving drunk. And all their jail time combined doesn’t amount 2 4 weeks. Don’t get me wrong, killing innocent animals is totally inhumane. But we live N a society where a convicted child predator has a blog guide showing other freaks how they 2 can prey on innocent children w/o getting caught. Where is the real justice @? Sad about the accident- condolences to the woman’s family. John and Brandy may have killed someone, but before passing cold judgement and labeling them as “killers”, remember, it was an accident. It could happen to any one of us that drive at any time. May the woman’s family, John, Brandy (and the woman’s family involved with the Brandy accident) be able to cope with the accidental tragedies. Only God and time can heal the pain of loss.

As for John Singleton vs Brandy, as far as I’m concerned, they were both accidents, and my heart goes out to them and the victims’ families. Those who claim to know the truth vs rumor about Brandy should just obtain a copy of the police report – if it’s available to the public. That should settle it.
I believe that if mike vick was a white person, it wouldn’t be this harsh. The system is all messed up, they value the life of an animal more than kids.
