Brandy had an accident. My prayers are for Brandy and the other families.I’ve seen people get in car accidents and believe me its not a pretty sight. Accidents can be cause by multitude of things. I am not here to judge what happen but I think the charge is extreme in manner. If the families want money for losses and punitive damages, give it to them its not worth dragging the situation out.

Its a shame how they are going on about vick. The way they described what was done to the dogs in the media was done intentionally to play on the emotions of the public to fuel the fire. The media don’t even describe murders and rapes of human beings in such descriptive detail. Vick would have been better off in public opinion if he had killed a human. I bet he would have still had his contract, etc. until he was proven guilty and I bet the media wouldn’t have described the details of the murder either. I love dogs too but he is clearly being railroaded here. I guarantee there are some white NFLers engaged in dogfighting too or cock fighting. There’s only one true judge, thank God for that, because people judge based on popularity, celebrity, who they like the most, skin color, etc. We are so contradictory, we legalize gambling and call it casinos and lottery, we kill unborn babies and call it abortion,etc. This is getting more air play than the war, missing kids, JENA 6, etc. I would like to see the sentences of regular folks for dog fighting, especially for whites doing the same crime, this is ridiculous.

@112 If that is true it wouldn’t surprise me. Unfortunately, the NFL ’s only concern in this case was to save the appearance of the league. I believe that they knew a long time ago that Vick had this operation going on and allowed it. It was a LARGE operation. They estimated some 200 dogs having gone through that house at some point. The team had to have known, they just had to act on it when it came out to the public. Public opinion can be costly and they tried to do damage control with the indictment. I think that if Michael Vick sees another playing field, that some other player will provide street justice. It would be a really rough season for him. It would be in his best interest to get some counseling, donate to PETA, and maybe build some animal shelters to show his remoarse. This will never happen though, since he’s not remoarseful. The potential greed of the NFL and of Michael Vick might force us to see Michael Vick in a uniform again. Hopefully they put “OOKIE” on the back so we never forget who he really is.

Somebody better put him on suicide watch, I’m serious. He’s losing it all. Nike also dropped him completely, as of Friday. But Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton all risked the lives of innocent people driving drunk. And all their jail time combined doesn’t amount 2 4 weeks. Sad about the accident- condolences to the woman’s family. John and Brandy may have killed someone, but before passing cold judgement and labeling them as “killers”, remember, it was an accident. It could happen to any one of us that drive at any time. May the woman’s family, John, Brandy (and the woman’s family involved with the Brandy accident) be able to cope with the accidental tragedies.
