As for alicia “just now trying to change her image” that isnt true–if you’ve followed her style wise, she (and her stylist) has evolved over at least the past 3 YEARS to interpret more of a feminine touch for Alicia. Many artists go through an evolution stage when it comes to style, either based on their own personal changes, or even for the sake of the business they are in. Also, as music artists are merely human as well, sometimes people dont realize how good they can look/how much positive feedback they can receive when they try something new…in the beginning Alicia’s style was kinda so-so..even more on the tomboy side at times, but when you get older, things change. I have to co-sign with #99 as well. This new “image” that Alicia has is nothing but her growing into a woman. Her sexiness is not too over the top and is classy. If she was still wearing the cornrolls then people would be saying “I wish she would switch it up”. SMH.
