September 25, 2007. Last week xxxxxx.com told you that Jennifer Hudson was starring in the Sex In The City movie - as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant. But what we didn’t know at the time was that Jennifer wasn’t the producer’s first choice. A person who was instrumental in putting together the film spoke exclusively to xxxxx.com. And that person claims the producers originally cast Beyonce Knowles for the part.

According to our insider, Beyonce was all but assured the role. The source tells xxxxxxx.com, “[Beyonce} read for the role and everyone loved her. She was perfect."

But once they began negotiating Beyonce's contract, the trouble began. Our source explained, "Beyonce's management was pushing [producers] to have her wardrobe consist solely of [House Of Dereon] outfits. We told [them] that we couldn’t do that, but [they] just kept pressing us.”

Then, our insider claims, Beyonce’s team threatened to walk away from the deal. The insider told xxxxxxx.com, “I think it was just some kind of negotiating strategy [to act like] they weren’t interested, but it backfired. As soon as we started feeling that Beyonce was getting cold feet, we called in other actresses.”

And that’s when Jennifer Hudson came into the picture. Our insider tells, “We knew that Jennifer [Hudson] was interested so we had her read for the part. She was fantastic. She may not be as big a star as Beyonce but she has a strong following and she’s a talented actress … and most importantly, she didn’t have any crazy demands.”

The Sex In The City movie is currently filming in New York City. It’s set for release in May 2008.

The outfit is a bit much but Jennifer sho has the sass and personality to pull it off. I am just glad they didn’t have her looking a hot mess to make the aging Caucasian co-stars look better. Sex in the city always used the cutting edge of high fashion on the show with experimental styles and what not. I hate to say it but I dont think black folks are up on that and there fore don’t get the look the wardrobe person was going for as well as with the other girls. I honestly think people would be satisfied if she were wearing some kind of brown beige or black gown something they can relate too which defeats the purpouse of the fashion on the show in which this look is keeping up. Kudos to Jennifer for landing her role on Sex In The City( I used to luv the show )Me and my girls reminded me of the 4 of them when we hot the town ,just the black version,lol ! The pieces individually may be stylish and trendy but my opinion is that its does not work overall together as an outfit. Everyone has their own idea of whats fashionable.I used to watch Sexy and The city (the show) so I see how Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah J.Parker)dresses. Shes worn many an outfit that I wouldnt be caught dead in,but it somehow looks nice on her.She carries it off differently than I or another woman would. The Oscar does not guarantee moe money hollywood is like any other job your experience is what gets the money, so this small role is good for her image but she is not yet making milllions per role.
You would be surprised at whatsomeof these sitcom stars make.
I am glad JHud won the Oscar, but their are many who never won and probably never will male and female who are making millions per movie.

Okay, I won’t argue with the numbers…I’ll take your word for it… And, since you work in the industry, you should know that the number of weeks an actor works on a movie is irrelevant… (Matthew Mcconaughey did “Frailty” in 2 weeks)

Winged Creatures is basically a series of vignettes, the entire cast creates one “message” or “star,” that’s how those movies work. To say that someone is more important in a film like that is to negate the entire premise… Her role will be as big as anybody else’s in that movie…
As for Dreamgirls, everybody’s salaries were cut…they talked about it time and time again AND if she got less it is because she “was” an unknown…you’re right…so what’s the point? She should have gotten less… And, now that she’s won the Oscar, she will get more (If they don’t get more, I wish Jamie Foxx would stop saying it…hint hint…they do…the Oscar curse you read about simply refers to them taking the wrong roles immediately after the Oscar win…)

And, I’ll end with this, you’re doing an awful lot of belittling… Even if everything you said is to be taken as correct (and I doubt it, personally) you still could not account for, in your belittling of Jennifer, the fact that she’s starring in a movie with two Oscar winners and that she’s earned a role in this movie (however small).

I’m happy for J. Hud…this is a good look…her movie career is so on point, in fact, it’s to be envied…seasoned actors would have loved to have been cast in this film.

That’s why I don’t know how this rumor about Beyonce getting the role and being ultimately turned away because she wanted to only wear House of Dereon came about… That’s the most ignorant rumor I’ve ever heard, especially since everyone knows the girl was obsessed with the show… She (and her DC drones) did an entire lame video parody of the show… Of course, she would have taken the role, she would have taken it and worn a human feces suit if they told her to!
