Teedra, you are known for having a refreshing sound/vibe/look. How do you plan to keep that going for the next album? Does your independence in songwriting and styling hinder you at all?

I love Teedra her voice is beautiful and her first cd was just crazy!!!! I may have skipped two songs,maybe! She is a true R&B artist with no exposure. She needs to be out there with the so called singers we have out now!!!

NESSEY: Not only does Teedra write all of her own music, but she’s written for the likes of Mary J, Christina Milian and Macy Gray. I’m a huge fan. Do yourself a favor and check out her only studio release, 2004′s Complex Simplicity. She’s one of the most slept-on artists, and it looks like she gives a good show. I would looooove to know. “In today’s society where sex sells, and being a ‘dancer’/'entertainer’ sells more cds and get more airplay on the radio, how do you avoid that trap and keep your music real and relevant.?” Also please come to DC/MD real soon!

I’ve been a fan of teedra’s since her first album and am ANXIOUSLY ANTICIPATIONG the second. THANKFULLY I’ve had the honor of meeting teedra twice at two of her recent shows here in LA. I always wanted to ask teedra a few questions but the my mind went blank both times I met her. I was in AWE lol..
1) In the “Complex Simplicity” album, your sons Ras and Taj were named in your publishing credits for nearly the entire album. How do you involve your sons in your career? How do they feel about their mother being as successful as she is and growing?
2) As much as your second album “The Young Lioness” has been anticipated and as much as your fanbase has grown, TVT records still felt the need to push back your second album. Do you have plans to leave TVT anytime soon? Why do you think TVT felt the need to push the album back for the second time?
3) Are all of the songs you’ve written (including for other artists) from personal experiences from your life?
4) At a recent show (August 26th, 2007 @ the ROXY Theater), you announced that you were moving from L.A. to Miami. Was this move career based or personal?

I know her as a woman to be very outspoken and very apt to do her own thing regardless of what others say so my question is:
what would you say to young people about following their own minds and having faith in themselves?
First off you have such a strong voice, that is both beautiful and calming at the same time. “Be Your Girl” is the joint… I think its sad that your not in heavy radio rotation, on the other hand it may be a blessing as heavily played songs some become a nuisance.
1. Are you going to change anything in your marketing campaign to reach more people? If so, will you feel like your going against what you believe in just to get media attention?
2. With all these problems some stars are having now, is it better to remain out of the limelight? Do you think MTV’s explotation of Brittney Spears brings women entertainers to a new low?
I love me some Teedra Moses. Its funny, I have my mom inlove with her song “Complex Simplicity,” my two faves are, “Take my love Away & For a Lifetime.” Ma has a beautiful voice, and her album is one of my top faves. Its sad, how artist like her dont recieve as much promotion as these rihannaz out here. Teedra, I looooove this song you are truly amazing girl.
