Teedra’s been doing a lot of performing as of late and is definitely working hard on her sophomore release, The Young Lioness. We’ve confirmed the interview for September 15th, Saturday afternoon. This comment section is a chance for readers and fans to submit their questions for Teedra. Remember, as much as we’d like to, we can’t ask every single question, but we’ll do our best to get all the juice to keep you in the loop.

How will that be different for The Young Lioness?
Teedra Moses…Ain’t nothing but the FREAKIN’ truth! My 14 year old daughter put me on. The first song I heard was “Be your Girl” and I’ve been a fan ever since.
Questions: How does it feel to you [as an artist] that you’re not getting the exposure that you rightfully deserve? and is it something that we can do as fans to make sure you get to where you need/should to be??? How can we (your fans) get more of you???

I can’t wait for this interview. I absolutely love her music. I think she is so slept on as a artist. Because her first album was so good I can listen to it from beginning to end with no problems. Does she still have family in New Orleans? How often does she go back and will she ever settle there? Who is the man that she wrote “Be Your Girl” for? Why doesn’t she do more east coast shows and when can we expect the album?

I LOVE TEEDRA, I’M STILL JAMMING TO DA FIRST ALBUM I BE TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT TEEDRA MOSES BECAUSE THEY DON’T KNOW ABOUT U. MY QUESTION: WHAT DO U PLAN ON DOING DIFFERENTLY WITH THIS ALBUM? ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE MORE PROMOTION?
My questions are: Are you still signed (the myspace site say’s no label) and if not, will the album still be released?
I also wanted to know if Teedra will be doing any dates in London, i saw her in the Jazz Cafe in 2005.
Oh, one more thing… can Teedra add Still Got Love to her album even as a bonus track.
Teedra Moses is a great artist. Her first album complex simplicity was fantastic. She’s on tour with Heineken. The tour is with Chrisette Michele and Raphael Saadiq. She didn’t show up to the Cleveland show, but she still is great. Her album young lioness should be coming out soon and my favorite song is rescue me and take me featuring raphael saadiq. Get hip!!
One of the questions I would like an answer to is : For her to be such a talented artish and so underated, has she considered moving to a more mainstream record label or will she push her record label to promote her more?
Because in all honesty, I didn’t hear about Ms. Moses until CL put some of her music up on the site. And that’s sad. So I hope this go around, the record label promotes the hell out of her so she can get the recognition she deserves.

A few years ago you were one of the featured artists on the Seagrams Gin Tour along with Tweet and Ceelo. Tweet aka Charlene Keys is another wonderful yet very much underrated soul artist who also writes and produces profound music and she also has an incredible voice. Might I add that she too is a great live performer like yourself
How was it performing at the same venue as her? Did the two of you ever speak on any level (about life, love, singing etc)? Did the two of you ever discuss the current state of the music industry as it pertains to many great soul artists not getting the recognition that they deserve?
How would you describe your fashion style and are there any other women out now whose style you admire?
Is “Be Your Girl” in any way inspired by a similar song anita baker sung when she was with Chapter 8?
