No but seriously, in highschool during my 12th grade year my friend and I were group jumped twice. I guess it probably was our parents responsibity to maybe have pressed charges, but it was kind of viewed as high school shenanigans. And since it was black females on black females, do you really think that the judiciary system would have brought attempted murder charges on anyone. Doubt it!!!

I hope this does something groundbreaking and is not all in vain. These backward southern towns seem to do what the fuck they want and get away with it regardless of a change in attitude in the rest of the US. Let’s hope people power can make something happen.

I am so glad to see all the people wearing black today to show support for such a worthy cause. I hope that justice will be served and that Mr. Bell will be released from prison. Going forward, I hope that a dramatic change will occur in the hearts and minds of the residents there.
I feel so overwhelmed with joy about our generation actually taking a stand for something. Unfortunately, I could not go to any of the marches held here in the MD/DC/VA area, but I am showing my support in other areas including wearing black today.

I love black pride! This is great support for these young men. I saw this on CNN as well and even “The View”, so the word is definitly getting out. Our local news and radio affiliates are also on this cause and offering much needed coverage on this.
I saw on CNN that one of the teachers at Jena high school wanted people to know that their school is not “racist” and every student gets treated “equally”, and their town is not r”acially divided”. I mean is this chick living under a rock or what! If that was the case, those 6 young men would have gotten in school suspension like the white students did. Some people I think don’t realize just how ignorant they are when their on television.

I wore black today and felt good walking to work and see people in black. The crazy thing is some of the people who wore black look like they were real pissed and didn’t want to be approached. So much to the point I didn’t even look their way. I asked a few of the white people @ my job did they wear black in support of the JENA 6., They had NO FU*KING CLUE! That really pissed me off!

I’m wearing black today as well. I’m here in Georgia and alot of the black people in my city that I’m running into are not wearing the color. Maybe they don’t know?? I have no idea, but you would have to have been hiding under a rock to not have heard about this case. I know Fort Valley State University purchased two coach line buses for their students to go to Jena, La. But then again, it is a HBCU! Wish I could be there!!

I can’t really believe that many people and I do mean Black folks don’t know anything about this!!! but they did know about Kanye’s and 50’s cd battle!!! Black folk need to stay informed!!!

I live in Georgia too. I dont see alot of people wearing black today either. But in my office all the ladies are. And let me say this, I believe when cases like the Jena 6 happen and Black people support it, it brings people together. This may seem petty, but in my office, alot of the females don’t like each other. But today, we are all smiling and speaking. I’m sure tomorrow it will go back to the same, but atleast when the time calls for us to come together, we do.

Wonderful…I have my black shirt on. We all need to take it one step further and start investing in black business and creating our own. I work for a white company but I am starting a baby clothing line next month…online. GRLNVA- that’s sad your boss said that. That is because he has that power, if we acted as though we didn’t need the job- because we have our own- he would be singing a different story. And just be that statement, that let’s you know where he stands!!!Teach young black boys- not that I have children- that no matter how much you want to marry white, go to school with white, laugh and joke with white- YOU ARE NOT WHITE…this goes for the daughters too. Reading is also important. My favorite author is Michael Eric Dyson. I had made a statement on another site where there was some racial issue and I said, ‘why are we fighting one another, when Al Qiada is waiting to blow us ALL up. There is only one real treat to whites and they can’t even find him yet’. I am seriously going to find out moving to Canada- even though I am from the carribean. One day I will go home.
P.S. Where is the Nation of Islam??!!

I’m in full support of the Jena 6, and I’m glad to see that we as a people are standing up. I am not wearing black but not for any other reason than I just didn’t want too. Many may feel I’m not about standing for a cause, I am, but i don’t need to wear black to prove that point. Many people who are wearing the black don’t even know the full story behind the Jena 6 injustice. So if you’re going to wear the black on this day make sure you know why, and not just because you got an email to do so. Also, let’s not forget we’re standing to get charges reduced, and not eliminated all together. We also need to be marching about getting charges against the white students also.

@21 ,
I was thinking the same thing. However, I believe these entertainers care more about their ratings, sales etc…. If they stand strong on this issue what would White America say. This is not a race issue this is about justice for everyone. As soon as something is done to them (”entertainers”) they would want us to rally and fight the cause for them as well. They do not see how this effects them as well, they have to work twice as hard to be where they are now, and still is not paid the same…. Now I have seen so many people go and perform at so many benefits that’s really nonsense and you mean to tell me they could not put together a benefit at Jena? Some of these entertainers are not real they have their publicist making decisions for them. And now they need to raise so much money to assist these kids and you mean to tell me all these rappers that have long criminal records that may have been unrightfully accused of, can not donate their time and money? We have people giving their last (money) to help these young boys and these rappers/Celebes buying out the bars, making it rain in the club, buying $3,000 dollar pair of jeans. We are going to have to get our priorities together. Ask Michael Jackson once they have deemed you a target you are going to want the same “Black”community to rally for you!

It really brought tears to my eyes yesterday while listening to the michael baisden show and hearing the love and support from our people on the JENA G case…I feel that we have came a long way from our past sistahs and brothas who fought for our rights and our freedom, which we are doing now…we must continue to have our voice be heard in a society in which tries to regard us as the minority… I believe that this JENA 6 case has shown us that we are a powerful people who have the strength to rise up against injustice… I think this marks a monumental day in history and that we will continue to fight against inequality and racism, and this situation was a perfect example to this…and yes I am at work with my BLACK on from head to toe!!!!

Such an amazing thing to see - it really is. I fought back tears in my cublicle this morning reading all the coverage on this. We have come so far and our strength and verility is an amazing thing. Perhaps this can help bridge a few gaps that the media has tried to widen. Perhaps this can help restore our faith and love in each other. I love black people so very much and I hope more of you start to love yourselves and eachother.

# 13 Could u add the word “some” in front of white because as a white female I would just like to say that honestly NOT ALL white people are as ignorant, uneducated, disgusting, and selfish as the white people handling this situation in jena! I know alot of white people who are appauld at the way this situation was handled! It all starts with teaching our children to be loving and caring to everybody! I don’t speak to my own mother and she won’t let me see my sisters because my boyfriend is black our son is bi racial so my mother says she doesn’t “agree” with it! Because she grew up in a small town mostly whites she was told like many others from my parents generations that black people are “bad”. Im just glad I became my own person! People of different races & cultures & religion we all just have the same goals in life! Its my mothers loss because what she doesn’t realize is that im the happiest ive ever been I have my own family now and I get alot more love fom them them than from my own mother! Its just sad that my son has to grow up in such a hate filled world!

Thursday, September 20, 2007 /
Thank you F2! I live in NYC where wearing black is a everyday thing. I wore it yesterday and I’ll probably be wearing it tomorrow. Does that mean that I don’t support the Jena 6? Hell no! I would probably take this post more serious if half the pictures weren’t of smiling happy go lucky looking people and if more people commenting knew more FACTS about the case.
The school did try to suspend the white students as well as the black students. Barack Obama has spoken on the issue. And while Oprah is cool and shit, shes an entertainer, not a politician or God like some of yall seem to think.

Baltimore showed alot of love today and support to the young men facing these charges down in jena. My highschool was on the news today for protesting and standing up for what we believe is right . I was suprised that half the school well the whole school was wearing black. My prayers once again goes out to the young men and i hope that justice is served and their set free.

THIS IS SOMETHING TO KEEP EVERYONE’S HEAD UP.
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out–
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.”
AMEN

Thursday, September 20, 2007 /
TODAY MARKS ANOTHER DAY IN HISTORY THAT BLACKS DEMAND A CHANGE. WE ARE STILL FIGHTING FOR WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT WE BELIEVE IN. YOUNG AND OLD TODAY WE UNITED AS ONE IN THE FACES OF THE SAME WHITE GUYS WHO PERFORMED THESE ACTS, THE ONES THAT STILL WILL NEVER LET RACISM GO, AND THE REST OF OUR AMERICANS WATCHING US. WE ARE STILL PRAYING FOR EQUAL RIGHTS AND A CHANGE IN OUR COUNTRY. WE ARE STILL GETTING VIVID IMAGES OF OUR PAST AROUND OUR CHILDREN IN THERE SCHOOLS AND AROUND OUR COUNTRY. LETS CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR CHANGE. NOT ONLY IN ORSELVES BUT THE HEARTS OF OUR CHILDREN OUR COUNTRY OUR CULTURE AND OUR CAUCASIANS ACROSS THE WORLD. LETS BE BLESSED. TIMES BRING ABOUT A CHANGE AND FOR EVERY DARKSIDE IN THE MOUNTAIN A LITTLE SUNSHINE WILL SOON TOUCH IT. GOD BLESS. DILLARD UNIVESITY NEW ORLEANS LA WE SHOW OUR SUPPORT.

Out of the 4000+ people who have read or skimmed through the Jena 6 article on MSNBC, the average rating for the story and other articles relating to this is a 2.5. This is indicative of the fact that the majority of people in America do not care about this story what so ever. Since we are not in the majority…. I wonder who could have been giving this story low ratings gee I wonder (note the facetious tone)…

No doubt I got my black on!!! I love my people and how we can get together. We need to do it more often to let peolpe know that it’s 2007 and this sh*t will no longer be tolerated. Why do we have to have people speak for us…we need to speak up and speak out! Let it be known, YOU WILL NOT JUST DO WHATEVER THE HELL YOU WANT TO US ANYMORE.
WE SHALL OVERCOME….F*CK THAT, WE HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO OVERCOME THE BULLSH*T THAT WE ARE FACED WITH EVERYDAY.

Wish I could have been there. I wore black today.# 9 said it just right, they thought that we BLACK people could not come together and look WE DID IT!!!! Like I have said many times BLACK people, when we stick together we can seriously run things. If you get the opportunity to go to MSNBC you will see how sooo many BLACK people who came in support. If it does not bring tears to your eyes than I do not know what does. I think this incident that has happened in JENA is suppose to bring us CLOSER to one another and to stop the hating in our communities but instead to start building each other up. On MSNBC there is s link that mentions how it was black bloggers that were spreading the word on the web. That’s right one person has the power to make change and becasue of all our efforts in spreadin the words look at the GREAT works we have done. Let’s remember this day moving forward, when you see another black person walking down the street, on the bus, in the store, smile, say good morning, good afternoon etc. the karma on that is rewarding. Today is the true definition of what BLACK LOVE!! really is.

It's not that serious
Thursday, September 20, 2007 /
I am so happy and proud of this. I was just watching CNN and the reporter said that there has not been one arrest and that everything has been peaceful all day. This march is bigger then JENA 6, it’s about injustices for blacks all over America. Think about it, had Jena 6 not become a national news, those people would have thought it was okay to take away 6 young mens lives by putting them away for 20+ years because of a highschool fight. Yet there was a black boy that was hit in the head by a white boy with a bottle and there were no charges filed…. there was a black boy that was jumped as well at an all white party, no charges were filed…. there was a white guy that pulled out a gun on some black kid in his store and when the black kid wrestled him to get the gun out his hands (and succeeded) that kid was charged with robbery! This is a serious issue. Some people from this town say that this is not a “race” thing, but the proof is in the pudding. Prove to America that this is not a “race issue”!! When I was reading the CNN website about whats going on today in JENA, there was a comment left by a woman from a different country that said this:
“Why did the black students have to get permission to sit under a tree? Is that really the freedom that your country promotes globally? FYI- the rest of the world does not distinguish the color of a TREE!!!! We are not that stupid”.
Another person from a different part of the world stated:
“The world is watching this. Americans need to wake- up and realize that there is a major problem. How racist, ignorant and blind can people be? Instead of fixing another country, fix your own”.
Sighs….SMH, these qoutes are sad, but so true.

So because you see whole lot of black people protesting, that means we coming down there to beat and steal, Shut your ignorant ass up. Its people like you who need a f*cking clock to the head so you can wake up and smell the damn coffee. Even though slavery so-called ended about 2 centuries ago, sh*t like this shows that it’s not over. Damn civil war didnt solve sh*t. That’s why it took my ancestors another damn century and more to get where they are today. And Black people still have got such a long way to go. Damn, you are soooo brainwashed, its not even funny. I bet you’re just scared because black people fighting for something that’s not right and we not gonna let some pig skinned people think they are gonna continue to get away with their madness. I’m a freshman in college @ LSU now my senior year @ my hs which was like ridiculously bad we made the national news like 15 times i attended skyline hs in oakland,ca…the last day of skool my junior year we had a black & mexican race riot the skool was on lock down and the S.W.A.T team came it was ridiculous there we’re an average of 3-5 fights a day on average if it we’re @ my skool the whole skool would be in jail…damn im just like 1 down 5 to go

just an interesting fact for all African Americans in the United States
Slavery started in 1619
Slavery ended in 1865
That means slavery lasted for 246 years
If you calculate the time from the end of slavery until the present time you will find it to be 142 years
years slavery lasted > years we’ve had freedom
so we havent been free as much as we’ve been bound…time wise

I wore my black shirt today even though it was hot as ever, people at my high school wore there black shirts also, even some of the white people, it filled my heart with joy seeing black people come together without acting out or starting fights, said by my bishop so it is true over thousands of black people can be in on place and no one started a fight, God is good. My bishop and people from my church went on a bus load to support jena six but i couldnt go because i had school. anyways what up Bun B, repping Houston. God Bless everyone who went out to support those kids and most of the people couldnt point out the jena six if they walked right passed them. That was a wonderful thing to see.

I have one thing to share from the rally I was at. We talk about the “old heads” MKL, Malcolm X, Jesse Jackson, etc but we forget that the older group is not the ones who are going to fight this battle for us, it’s got to be the younger group doing the leg work and rallying. A young man brought it up in the rally and he’s right. Who’s the leaders of our generation and it’s a different racist battle. It’s not the same one fought during the 60’s Civil Rights Movement, this is a different beast. And to fight this beast we have to attack it differently.
I was proud to see a lot of young kids there, they were representing for themselves and their high schools.
Get involve, I refuse to be a number count on the Jena 6band-wagon.

Today as thousands of pairs of feet pound the pavement of Jena Louisiana we hope for the acknowledgement of injustice.
I have not really touched on this subject that I have been following since last November when I heard about it.
Even as it has started to get more media attention I haven’t covered it.
The reason for that is because there are so many complex layers to this case. It has been such an emotional and heart piercing topic for me.
Race is only part of it. There is so much background information in this case that is inclusive of other fights, school house taunts, previous records, a double gaged shot gun pulled on black teenagers at a gas station, and the list goes on.
Today those feet not only march for racial justice but for the rights of all those who are experiencing cases like Jena 6 in all the nooks and crannies of America. It brings tears to my eyes to even think that the same place that is supposed to protect and empower your child with a tool called education allowed various occurrences to happen on campus to endanger a child’s entire existence. This is about airing dirty laundry and exposing our beloved country’s downfalls and flaws.
For members of the Jena community to be in the media saying ” I don’t see anything wrong with what is going on,” explains the mirrored thoughts of many more communities then we think right in the good ole home of the Red White and Blue.
It is awesome to see that we can come together to stand for something that is right. For a child of any race or color to get in a school yard fight and be looking at 20-80 years in jail is absolutely insane.
Be active and consciously aware of how our daily actions in the way we treat others can greatly affect the future generations and the role they decide to play or not to play. Those who are marching parents and grandparents were not afraid to march and stand up for that which was right and was able to give us the ability to have more options in our life then they did.
It is time for that tree in Jena and all the symbolic trees of inequality to COME DOWN. This can only happen if we make it happen.
The options of our sons and daughters will be dependant on what we are willing to sacrifice, what we are willing to stand for and what knowledge that we instill in them to oust the ignorance that can be perpetuated by systems in place, people in charge or those whose parents who have socially failed to provide a basic structure of morals and values in their offspring. Will those beliefs that you have instilled in your child make them put up or tear down trees in their future?

It doesn’t end here though. We can’t allow this to be the last time we think about these boys and their plight. We have to remember that the battle is an ongoing one and that this is far from over. Keep signing the petitions and following the story. Mainstream media is going to let this die quietly and silently hope that it fades into the background. We, however, cannot afford to do that. I am so PROUD of all of the support in the black community, and well all of the people of any shade that came out to have their voices and face’s be seen and heard to speak out on such injustice that is still lingering on here today in 2007, and this is just one icident, injustices are going on all over the world especially to people of color, I could not be in JENA, but my spirit and support as a black mother and my mother’s before were definitly there, I advised my son, my ten year old son we still fight, By ANY MEANS NESSESCARY, but most of ALL have love in your heart. I think that if we have as many BLACK people vote, that came out and showed their support for the Jena 6, MAYBE WE WOULD ALL HAVE A FAIR CHANCE IN THIS WORLD!
I am calling all people to come together and start up some type of movement to get ALL WILLING AND ABLE BODY’S TO REGISTER TO VOTE , WE CAN CHANGE HISTORY , OUR PEOLPLE ARE HISTORY MAKERS , WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED . I LOVE YA’LL

Yesterday was a beautiful day in America for Black People. The nation was oversaturated with black pride, much like it was in the sixties. I attended the Million Man March in 1996 and that was truly the historic event of my lifetime (thus far), but yesterday was another one of those moments when you start to think that we are ALL connected in some way. Those of us who identified with the young men and support them like our brothers and sons. It was beautiful, that’s all I can really add. I’m Black and I’m proud, but I’m even more proud of my people, who decided that this was going to be a united stand against injustice. Now let’s save OJ! (just kidding) lol. I love Black People.

Read MORE about it from various media outlets.Okay -so the white kid was out of the hospital & at some social function later.I AGREE that it sounds like the law basically blew up a schoolyard brawl into something more serious.Back in my highschool days the fight was’nt over ’til somebody took a chair to the back of the head a’la “pro” wrestling style.I DIFFER WITH THE PROTESTERS ON THIS POINT:
Back in the day…hard working brothas and sistas would end up in jail on the flimsiest of charges…or none at all.Other brothas & sistas knew a raw deal when they saw it & protested.Rightly so.THESE 6 KIDS DID BASICALLY COMMIT A CRIME AND SHOULD FACE SOME PUNISHMENT FOR THEIR ACTIONS.I just think most of the protesters are using this as a VICTIM CRUTCH to confirm what they think about America as some place where we as Black People are perpetually oppressed & exploited & somehow can’t make it.When you rally around that mindset - as comfortable as it has become-YOU ARE DOOMED TO FAILURE.
I don’t expect any on here to be with me on this point…but food for thought.

Yo
Check this out was just shown
http://www.cnn.com/2007/U.../21/car.nooses/index.html
This shows that racism is alive in 2007. I have some words to say those who say this is free speech or just a prank. So you would be alright with someone putting up a few nooses attached to a stick display & put it in your front yard to represent every member in your household or attach them to a tree in your yard. Get the h*ll up outta here.. What these boys where doing equal nothing but trouble or to cause trouble, I guess they wanted their azz whipped as they did not learn from the 1st time around incident.
If you have paid any attention in history classes you would know what nooses represent from past history & it is nothing positive.
All involved should be punished & it should be equally punished. Even for the events that happen prior last year. Not because you are another race you get off free or get better treatment. The boys who attacked the white boy should be punished but life in prison. Get the heck outta here. I never known a school fist fight turning into life in prison. There was no weapons involved. Oh I forgot, that tennis shoe was the weapon. O please that is some BS.

I think it’s good that black people could get galvanized enough, for this situation, to assist those young men in hopefully getting a fair trial. It just speaks volumes to me that this much attention had to be shined just to get a fair trial. Spare me with all this house negro, “I’m so happy to see my white brothers and sisters in all black!”, lol. The blacks that say that sound like some damn coons because these white people don’t give a damn. For every woman of another race that wore black because they love the black man’s rod, there were a million white people that said, “What the hell are the n*ggers complaining about now?! They jumped one of our boys!!”. They’ll get their revenge too through their police departments, it just won’t be reported in the media. I mean honestly, there are 10,000 towns like Jena in the United States that blacks can’t even drive through. Why can’t we worry about building up our own communities instead of worrying about acceptance from the white man and the other races?
In my opinion, this marching stuff is tired and it’s predictable. The powers that be have no respect for it and it’s indicative of black people begging white people to love them. All the marching blacks did in the 1950’s and 1960’s changed nothing for black people. Nothing. Check the statistics. That’s why when the other races act like they care about our issues, they always want to “march” with our people and speak nonsense into a damn bullhorn to further deceive black people.
@247
I don’t think that any fair minded, rational black person can deny that the boys allegedly committed a crime. The issue is, like it always is involving black people, the dynamics of the case and the way the law gets controverted, manipulated, and distorted due to the inner motivations of white people and this racism is pervasive in all aspects of this society. According to reports, the vindictive racial attacks were back and forth. How come the reprimanding was not equal? How do we know that the full story is being told? Racism transcends the law in this society, and all societies for that matter and it’s irrefutable. All the way from the hiring practices, school systems, educational curriculums, bails, court sentences, etc., race stipulates it all, and the statistics corroborate this. My point is that the equality that black people claim that they want can never be achieved unless the people that draft and interpret the laws are put under mind control to disregard the racism that they were imbued with from generation to generation. That’s why the white man teaches blacks, and teaches black people to teach other blacks, to put their faith in the law. It allows him to oppress any people at a whim without certifiable or verifiable proof. Look at what they’re doing, and will do at a higher level, to the Muslims and they will justify it in their laws.
There are black people that are college graduates and earn 200,000 dollars a year and rail about the injustices of America. There are also blacks that dropped out of high school and lay on their mother’s couch all day that will want to fight if they hear someone say something against white people or America. It’s all predicated on the spirit given to someone from the Lord. You cannot expect all black people to have the same barometer for success that you have or to be satisfied by the same things that you’re satisfied by. There is always going to be a feeling of disenchantment or suspicion from blacks in America because of the bad track record between whites and blacks and the organized mistreatment against blacks by the American government. It’s unreasonable to think that most blacks will ever trust the government. White people don’t even trust their own government anymore, lol.

I want to thank concretloop for your show of responsibility on this issue. No wonder Kanye West shouted you out on 106 and park! Yesterday was a monumental event in the history of black people everywhere. The show of solidarity was inspirational.
I want to point out something to everyone. There is a site sandrarose.com and this is what she had to say about the issue:
“Well, the march on Jena, Louisiana is over. What did it accomplish? Black was the color of the day yesterday in many black communities across America. What did wearing black accomplish? I still think the rally in support of the Jena 6 boys was noble, but a little misguided. Only one of the Jena 6 remains in jail and based on his history of violent behavior - he needs to stay right where he is. The reality is if the 6 boys didn’t beat one boy unconscious and kick him while he was on the ground, none of this would be happening.
There are reports that many supporters were arrested and had their cars towed in towns leading into Jena, Louisiana. Many people were stranded without transportation and their licenses confisticated by police. Now there’s your injustice. Why not march about that?
It doesn’t matter if the victim attended his prom that night. He still sustained injuries. Would we be satisfied if he died? It doesn’t matter if he was bragging. The Constitution gives us all the right to Freedom of Speech. Violence is never the answer. Martin Luther King preached non-violence and died so we could be free from oppression. Those boys were not oppressed on that school campus. All of this over a tree? MLK is rolling.”
She obviously has not educated herself on the fact of the case.
I have personally decided not to visit her site anymore and I wanted to inform others who may find her opinion offensive so that you could decide if you should patronize her as well……FREE THE JENA 6!!!!!

Point taken.
At no point do I believe that racism does’nt have some institutional basis.I just think we’re capable of DESTROYING it…and being the proud people we were meant to be.
But only if we ditch the VICTIMIZATION mindset.
Careful with that Muslim thing. The Arab Muslims have a history of enslaving us that goes FARTHER back than Europeans’ history of enslaving us…and if you wanna know what Arab Muslims think about Black people…look no further than SUDAN.White Christianity has at least learned the err of it’s ways and has been open to change.(I’m NOT religious) Islam is STILL stuck in the 10th century ideologically.Talk about SLAVE MASTERS’ RELIGION…They BOTH are.

Brother, that is where we will disagree. You have to understand that for black people to overcome the oppression, by your own admission, in this society it will be the first time in the history of civilization that such a thing occurred without violence or the fall of those in power. That’s why I mock black people’s dreams of equality, because it’s a carrot that is dangled in front of their noses by the white power structure to make blacks believe that by continuing to build up this society, they can climb the societal rungs. Whites know damn well that this is not possible. This is why they encourage marching. Why didn’t white people march when the World Trade Center was allegedly destroyed by Arab terrorists? They didn’t. They went overseas and subdued two entire countries, killed millions of people that have nothing to do with the purported crime, and destroyed the fabric of their society. I just don’t like to be sold wolf tickets brother.
I don’t bring up the Arabs or Islam to imply that I have any sympathy for them whatsoever. I’m only concerned with my people and I deal with the word of the Lord, the Bible. The Arabs were the middlemen in the slave trade, that’s a known fact. My point is that in order for the white man to gain the oil reserves, the poppy fields, and to destroy the Islamic way of life they’ve trumped up a pretext to invade and passed LAWS to validate their crimes against humanity.

I wore my black yesterday also it felt great, I know that the fight is not over. We have to continue to do whatever we can to support these young men, especially Mychal Bell who should no be in jail in the first place. I am just so happy to see so many young people my age and not only blacks but people of all colors support these young men…… Free The Jena 6

I have a question.
Things like this happen in the south all the time. Do you think they may make an example out Mychel Bell by not releasing him and dragging the situation out to, by stating that your rallies mean nothing, we are superior, we control this/
Do you believe that this may have caused the living situation for theblack community in Jena to worsen?

Yes because it’s contrived. No disrespect to black people but the whole all-black think became kind of commercialized and shallow. It became something to do just to do it and like all shallow things it bore no fruit. The marching thing has never worked and it will never work.

@ 263 and 264
I have some ideas about how to get them to listen:
1. Hit them where it hurts-their pocket. They can stop going to businesses in that area that are not owned by people of color.
2. All of black parents should consider home schooling their children and building up a network system where they can support each other. If Jena HS cannot support the black students there, then why should that school recieve government funding for them?
3. The black peolpe in Jena should (if they have not already) learn and master a trade. They can use their skills for BARTERING-something that I think our people have totally forgotten about. This can help to save money.
4. With the money saved, they can invest in other black enterpreneurs, businesses and began purchasing real estate and land.
I know these suggestions seem a bit out there but if these steps were followed, I think that it would cause the black community there to become self reliant and could really make an impact.

who gives a fuck what Oprah or other celebrities think about this issue? that’s not going to change whats going on…
White Judge
“Oh! Oprah doesn’t agree with it? weell…aww…go ahead and let the little nigger go”
I dont think thats going to happen. lol. But seriously. It doesnt matter if celebrities are siding with us on this issue- its what we as “normal” people can do as a whole to make an impact. I wore black and made stickers on the computer and handed them out at McArthur mall in VA. My boss sent me home early cause he said i was trying to impose a riot…c’mon now. I mean really…

I wanna know why none of the Jena 6 was not charged as a Hate Crime. If 6 white kids beat up a black kid it would be a hate crime. I tired of all this double standard BS. The charges should never have been attempt murder. But as you can see with this latest guy going back to jail for criminal activity before this beating, these were no angels by any means. Just a another future thug.
