Those jeans looks like the same jeans that was in style before the hip hugger jeans came back in style. Look in your mom’s closet she probably has a few pair. Fashion always repeats itself, What was once out of style is back in style and so on. The jeans look so much better and classier than the hip hugger jeans.

I think this look will work for those who are slim/slender like the ladies above as well as those that are curvy, but you have to have little to no stomach whatever size you are due to the shirt being tucked in.

You forgot Kelis. She started on this look wayyyy back when she designed a line of high-waisted jeans for Miss Sixty in the UK. Plus, a year or two later, she rocked a pair in her Bossy video (and folks in the States thought she was crazy).

You can’t hand thunder thighs, a huge ass or a flabby stomach to wear this style. Everything must be taut and toned because if not, that’s when seams start buckling and you get those horrible creases in the denim around the crotch area because they dont’ fit properly.

But damn! I need to start paying attention to what’s going on across the pond! My French professor did say that fashions in Paris are sometimes four years ahead of American trends, and I guess she’s right(London being just over the Channel).

I like but I don’t think these pants are flattering to us sistahs with hips, all depends on the fit possibly. I think that’s why eve’s are not as flattering as the rest of the ladies the tight fit at the hips isn’t really a good look.

I don’t think this work well for the girls. All those girls are really really slim and look how those pants make them look like. Urgh … I think an ok style would be the one on Ciara or Eve in her clip with Sean Paul, you know really not wearing a lot on the upper body, as you’re already imprisoned in all this clothes down there.

For the super-slim, tiny waist types: wear the jeans Ciara, Elise and Nicole are rockin…

For the kinda thick chicks or chicks who’s upper body is kinda short (think long legs…short torso) rock the lock Meagan is sportin…it will look fab on you.

This is one trend I won’t be sporting. It’s not bad, but it definitely isn’t for everyone. I am only 5′2″ with a short torso, and I tried a pair of these on and looked absolutely ridiculous. However, I have a coworker who is tall and slender and they look fab on her (she’s long waisted with long legs and this style really flattered her figure). I will stick with my low rise pants/jeans/trousers. The ladies in the photos all look great.

it’s not a new trend like tianna pointed out. it was out in the uk before kelis rocked them so we’re really just following europe’s lead. btw the new trend has been wide-leg jeans/trousers for a while now but only tall ppl seem to rock those well.

I love peculiar pieces, I stalk them lol but I hate these sort of trends because people grab on and they become too popularized, and then they’re dated… I think high waist jeans are…I think the only celebs you’ll see rocking them from now on will do so because they LOOK great in them. I don’t think it’s about the style anymore. And, in that way it’s okay to wear them, if they’re not the focal point of your outfit, if you’re just wearing them because they’re a great fitting pair of jeans.
But most women won’t do that, they’ll wear them like many of the ladies above, with tees or other easy to miss tops and accessories… Check how Kelis and Lauren Hill (who was the first to wear them here, yall forgot about her at the BET awards with the Fugees) wore theirs, they didn’t rely on the jeans, they paired them with equally stylish tops…

I love the style but I don’t have the body for it oh well there are more styles out there…
