Jordin Sparks – Tattoo
Not sure about production credits, but it definitely sounds like Stargate production (written by Ne-Yo) a la Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” and Rihanna’s “Good Girl Gone Bad.” I think your American Idol, Jordin Sparks gave it a good shot, but the lyrics to the song are just very corny to me. The song needs a little less campy-ness, and a better concept. Her voice sounds great though, I can definitely see why she was America’s favorite.
For those who don’t know, Ms. Jordin Sparks won the last season of American Idol. Of course, Simon criticized her for being “too cute” and many Idol fans speculated that Jordin was “slightly overweight,” she definitely won the States over with that voice of hers. As you know, as the winner of Idol, you recieve a recording contract. Past Idols have definitely made a transition into semi-reality TV show artist, to serious, successful and respected artists. Do you think Jordin has what it takes with this new single, “Tattoo?” Even though it’s a little corny, is it hot or not?

I had a strong feeling that Melinda and Lakisha was not going to win because of their ages- too old to start pop careers- execs tend to look for younger artists. But anywho, I dont like tatoo, the lyrics stinks, the beats for the song too familiar, seems like the writers and producers were careless with this song. I hope Jordin does not get shuffled to the back like the black guy that won American Idol. (Sorry, I dont remember his name). I really loved his voice, it seemed like he was making a come back…but no cigars. Jordin could probably be good at singing country and some pop music.

Sooooo NOT hot! Whoever said she sounds like a country music singer was right, she sounds like a Faith Hill/Jewel combo on a recycled beat! How many times are we going to hear this damn melody? Its dead already, stop the over-kill!
I love it, sure the lyrics are a bit cheesy but Jordin’s voice wins the song over. Definitely hot.

Garbage. She annoys me. I didn’t even watch all of American Idol. Oh and she needs to drop a few pounds. She’s already a large girl, she would benefit from toning up and slimming down a bit. But back to her voice… not impressed. And the beat stank up my headphones. I don’t like that Beyonce song with that beat and I hate this knock-off even more.

I like Jordan Sparks but she is more on the pop side. On American Idol she didn’t sing alot of R&B songs. I know urban radio probably won’t be playing this song but pop radio might give it a chance, but then again I don’t know because radio is picky nowdays. I like pop music so this song isn’t bad to me and plus it’s young and she’s young, she doesn’t need to be singing anything too mature for her age. Anyway she does have a great voice weather you like the song or not you have to give her that credit.

Very Catchy. Sounds like something Kelly Clarkson. or Carrie underwood would do. It fits your voice perfectly! Very contemporary, young and sensitive, yet strong.
Very Hot!!! I really like this song her voice sounds amazing!! I think this appeals more to the teen audience which is perfect for her. I think her album really be really amazing and a lot of people will be suprised.

She is absolutely the best, and the song is great. That coming from a Country Fan that is 60 year old. This kid can go anywhere she wants. Sure do hope that the promoters do the same job they did with Cary Underwood, she deserves no less.
