Ye Stan Reporting! I went and sat in the parking lot at Target for 20 minutes waiting for that damn store to open, best believe I was the first one to jump out my car when they unlocked the doors. Anyways, myself and a few others made a beeline straight to the new releases and copped that ‘Graduation’ album. It was a little weird how they had set it up so it literally looked like Kanye vs. 50…But anyways I took the long way to school and I have thoroughly enjoyed the album thus far. I would definitely go cop it if you haven’t already.

Maybe its me, but I feel like nails are scratching on a chalkboard when people say “Fiddy”. It’s 50, Fif or 50 Cent. I feel like people of the caucasian persuasion are always saying that to be hip and it sounds dumb. Never heard anybody from the camp call him that.
Well, regardless of what we call him, if talent counts for anything, I had advance releases of both joints and Kanye’s Joint:Fifty’s joint as Steak:Steak ‘Ems. There’s just no competition. And with HALF of the tracks. LOL. 50 is just stuck in a style from 2 years ago. It’s tired. And I’m FROM Queens.
To me this is kind of to be expected. Kanye produces beats. That’s what moves your ass. 50 rhymes and leaves production to Aftermatch. It was over before the contest even started. Kanye is just “creativity personified.” You might not love Graduation, but you can’t say you’ve ever heard anything like it before. When I listened to 50′s joint, it was clear that his formula is a bunch of Aftermath underproduced tracks (every beat sounds like it can be done on a 4-track recorder except the Timberlake piece of trash.)
With Kanye, even though he’s as arrogant as hell, I can’t stop listening to Champion, Stronger, Everything I Am, Big Brother, Homecoming, Barry Bonds…. it just sounds like “new music”.
I haven’t really felt a 50 joint that much since In Da Club, 21 Questions and On Fire (which is a Banks joint.) Maybe he needs more production help. Somebody new. Cause this ain’t it.

Hmm, my money’s on KANYE! Hey did ya’ll catch Jimmy Kimmel tonight. It was hilarious. 50 cent was on there and towards the end of his interview, Jimmy Kimmel shows the inside of his cd cover and jokes about the pics in it. Two pics were of Fiddy and a woman in compromising positions. Jimmy goes “whose idea was that?”, Fiddy says “I came up with the idea”. Then NFL play-by-play announcer Al Michaels comes out. This guy actually knows 50 cent and has hung with him before. So Jimmy asks him to read one of 50′s songs on a flash card. Al Michaels puts on a white hat, turns it to the side, and he and 50 read one of 50′s songs in a poem like fashion. It was pretty funny.

50 Talks Album Sales; Blames Interscope

Rapper 50 Cent recently commented on his first week’s album sales projections, which estimate that his new album Curtis will move 550-600,000 units, about 200,000 less than Kanye West’s new album Graduation.
The two rappers have been engaged in a “feud” over who’s album would top the album charts over the past few months.
50 Cent appeared on Angie Martinez’ Hot 97 show today (September 12) and blamed the album’s second place status on Interscope Records.
“To be honest the process of selling this record hasn’t been fun,” 50 Cent said. “I’m happy with the performance, but I’m not happy with the set up. We had conference calls and after we created this plan, nobody actually had a plan.”
According to first day sales data, Kanye West’s Graduation is outselling 50 Cent’s Curtis by a ratio of 2 to 1.
50 Cent also issued a warning to Def Jam, claiming he would release a new album every time the label had a big release.
“Hypothetically, if I came in under Kanye West, I would release a new album every time Def Jam had a priority. I would release a record verses every one of their top priorities,” 50 Cent said.
50 Cent also said that he was finished with Interscope after the release of his next album, which will fulfill his contractual obligations to the label.
“It was the label,” 50 Cent said. “Their dropping the ball all over the place. I’ll release my next album and then I’m a free agent.”

I bought “Graduation” — Kanye’s album is great! Its one of the best hip hop albums in years. Its quality music, and i can relate to alot. Hopefully he comes out on top, cause he deserves it.
