If there was any type of commitment if was on her behalf being committed to probably having babies to keep puffy in her life, or to keep her hands on his money, or she was simply committed to seeing only what she wanted to see. Kim Porter is the epitome of weak willed woman with no backbone and integrity. Yes she is beautiful but she is lazy. She could have graduated from Columbia, Princeton, or Barnard by now. I can’t really talk bad about her decision. A lot of women once they have become dependant upon someone else find it hard to break away from that habit especially if the person you depend on has become abusive (mentally or physically).

I know when I was out of work for a time and my husband was the only provider for the house I HATED it and at the same time I felt helpless about my situation and depressed. We didn’t struggle but I didn’t like having to ask for money for things I needed or wanted. I never endured any cheating and lying as Kim had but I really don’t think her goal was to gold dig anyone. I heard (or read, cant remember) Puffy say he’s not getting married because he doesn’t believe in his heart man was meant to be with one woman. I know alot of mean who believe that as well. The fact that society has conditioned us into believing that marriage (to one woman) is what is acceptable and if you fall out of that then you’re defected. Many of the heros of the BIBLE, that I see referred to so much on here, had multiple wives (Solomon, Abraham, hell Jacob was married to three sisters). But these notions are quickly dismissed with the modern womans thinking? Who changed that? And to whose benefit? Woman was made to be a helpmate to a man. I didn’t say it GOD did (it is not good for man to be alone, I will make him a helpmate).

Now although I can understand the beauty of being in a relationship with one person, it aint for everyone. Women, have been conditions through TV, society and other women to believe there are men out there waiting and WILLING to commit to them and they shouldn’t settle for less. When most men I know go kicking and screaming down those aisles. Women ask yourself, “Do you really BELIEVE your man ONLY wants to be with you?” Even if he doesn’t act, if he thinks of another woman, dreams or even lust after another then the answer is clear. He doesn’t.

I do believe that there are faithful men but not enough to go around. I would never comment on what a man is doing or will not do. This is the reason why people should stay single until they feel that they can commit to someone. Let me be say that what Bishop Weeks did, in beating and stomping his wife, was a vicious and cowardly act. I could never condone his behavior. And although I cannot support him in his actions, I do understand how one can be pushed to that reaction.

Our women (Black women) are indeed strong and supportive. Most black men recognize that. But they can also be mean and I mean, MEAN, at times. You can confide in her and tell her things that you’d never tell another, and she’d store it. Keep it to herself (for awhile). Even try and help you get over it. But soon as you make her mad enough, it’s “That’s why your dad left yo mom….!” or “That’s why your mom was beating your ass….!” or whatever he confided in her. Not saying ALL women do this, but a lot of black women do it. These same women want you to be open and honest with them, to share “what’s on your mind” or “what’s wrong?”, when now he’s thinking “You just want more ammo for your guns.”

It’s hard being a black woman I’m sure, but it’s equally hard to be a black man. Not knowing who to trust. Not knowing what to say. Juanita posted blogs about the Bishop calling him a fraud and blasting him last year. And this year they tried to work it out. But something tells me she pushed a serious button to make him go off. I say that not in support of him, but to show that even a woman as respected as her, is capable of going there. It’s sad. real sad

Shaunie? Well you can agree she’s no Juanita Bynum, but it’s obvious that she has some trust issues as well. And Kim? Well many think that anyone in love with a celebrity has some underline reason. So In a sense I agree that women shoulder a lot of the blame when relationships fail.

But how do we make them last? Particularly in today’s society when divorces are so easy to do. I’m afraid that the days of 50 and 60 years marriages are behind us. Most marriages are lucky to get to the ten year mark.

Men need women who understand that times have changed. That’s marriages are not as conventional or as convient as they were in the past. Black families stayed together, because so much was against us in years past. At a time in this country it was common practice to seperate the family to prevent these unions from being strong. Once freed, we continued to carry out alot of the same behavior. It truly is sad. I love my sisters. They are (to me) the most beautiful creatures that God has created. They come in so many shades, and sizes, with so many wonderful attributes. I love their laughs and their touch is definitelly comforting. At times a black woman can make a penniless man feel like a millionaire. That same woman can make a millionaire feel worthless. THEY have trememdous power. But with great power, comes great responsibility. Some women don’t understand that power or that responsiblity.

I don’t feel sorry for black women, but I do feel sorry for black men who can’t love them, despite the actions of a few. It’s not about overshadowing or out-thinking him. It’s about how you make him feel about himself that will make him want to do right by you.

wow…thing is she says that she made the “action” to leave but then she still speaks to him everyday as a “friend”. I understand she has kids with him but for someone like Diddy…who travels alot…it’s not like he was seeing her and the twins that much anyway! So talking on the phone was probably ALWAYS a big part of her relationship! So to keep doing it is not going to allow him to get the hint. She has to make other actions. Thing is, when someone is in an on/off again relationship you HAVE to come with something substantial so the other person knows you are serious. Always being there for Diddy doesn’t allow him to miss her!. I think she just doesn’t want some other woman to take her “spot” Namely, his other baby mama in ATL. He has known her for over TEN years. If SHE wanted him then she could easily slip into Kim’s “spot”.

Wow, I can’t believe what I’m reading. It’s OUR duty to keep the family together for the sake of the kids???!!! LOL, if you marriage is crap, believe me your kids know it’s crap and the only thing your teaching them is that your dysfunction is normal and they’ll go out and get themselves in the same messed up relationship.

All men cheat? Yes, men who watched their father cheat on their “long-suffering” mothers, do it because they think it’s normal (see paragraph above). Men who’ve been coddled all their lives, are spoiled, self-centered and selfish because no one in their lives has ever called them on their mess or held them to any responsiblity cheat because they can get away with it.

She put up with it, so he did it, case closed. If she had cleared her stuff out after the JLo affair, we wouldn’t be talking about this now. Black men need to stop expecting women to love them enough to put up with their mess and learn to love and respect their families and whatever promises they have made to their partner/wife. I also agree with people saying that it is the way Puffy was so BLATANT with his cheating. Men cheat. People Cheat. But you don’t do it in front of your spouse, scratch that, in front of the WORLD. And then basically come across like you KNOW you got it like that and your significant other will stay. Puffy basically said that in so many words with his actions and she looked lame by going along with it.
