Sorry Lisa I’m from the Bay and everybody hear know she didn’t finish school as a matter of fact I read an interview where she said eventually she was going to go back and get her GED (like Mary and Fantasia). She sometimes streches the truth (like the fact that she said she grew up in multiple foster homes when in fact she was adopted at 2 by a church couple) so it’s hard to keep up with her stories. Maybe she was attempting to finish school when she got discovered.

She is a talented sister, and very true to herself… and so many people label that as “ghetto”, but given where she’s come from and what she has come through - she should be applaued and supported. No father, a drug addicted mother -… having to rely on herself and raise herself.

No, she may not speak the King’s english or have a complete understanding of relativity, but many who had far more support and far more opportunity and priviledges don’t either.

She’s young, and as she matures, so will her understanding, so will her language and communication skills. In the meantime, like most people, she’ll stumble, and she might even fall, but because of her attitude and fortitude, she’ll get back up, and hopefully keep it moving.
