Jay-Z feat. Pharrell Williams – Blue Magic (updated with CD quality)
Rapper/mogul Jay-Z has announce that he will release an album full of all new material this November titled American Gangster. Although Jay-Z’s is separate from the official motion picture soundtrack, the new album is Jay-Z’s lyrical interpretation of the movie, which stars Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Cuba Gooding, Jr., RZA, T.I., Ruby Dee, Common and others. The film American Gangster is based on the true story of Frank Lucas, chronicling his rise to dominance over the Harlem drug trade in the streets of New York in 1970 by smuggling heroin into the country using the coffins of Vietnam veterans returning home from the war.
Jay-Z’s first single from American Gangster is “Blue Magic,” which features vocals from Pharrell Williams on the chorus. AG will feature a series of producers, much like Jay-Z’s famed Black Album. The new album is set to hit stores November 6, while the film opens in theaters November 2.

MAYBE HE LOVES THE IDEA OF THE FILM, (KNOWS THE STORY OF FRANK LUCAS) AND IS INSPIRED BY IT. ARTISTS ARE SOMETIMES STILL ARTISTS, NO MATTER HOW BIG THEY GET, THEY FEED OFF OF OTHER CREATIVE SOURCES. JUST A THOUGHT.
AND “BLUE MAGIC” WAS ONE OF VERY MANY DIFFERENT “BRANDS” OR TYPES OF HEROIN DEALT AND DISTRIBUTED DURING THE 60′S AND 70′S BY FRANK LUCAS. BLUE MAGIC WAS APPARENTLY THE PUREST FORM YOU COULD GET ON THE STREETS, HIGHLY POTENT AND ADDICTIVE. (I WIKI-ED IT) =)
Well..this track certainly ain’t “blue magic”…more like “fast forward to the next song”..plus i’m also sure that it won’t end up sending like this..the beat is way too basic still..you can tell it doesn’t have duro’s engineering on it yet. Sounds like something I recorded in my small home studio…He got some aight lines..it’s just not the jay that jumps thru the speakers at ppl…..sorry fans…this sounds like he had been up 3 or 4 days and running on redbull fumes..just lazy as hell!!!

Jay-z actually addressed those rumors in a interview he gave and basically laughed it off and said it was ridiculous. Which it is.
