Anyway, Switch was not a buzz single. Any time a song does not pick up it suddenly becomes an only “buzz” single. LOL. The album was suppose to drop in October but because of the single not picking up, the album was pushed back to December so they would have time to record more songs( which Hey Babe is one of them) and choose a new single.

it sounds too much like last night. nothing original or strikingly appealing. Ashanti had no room to laugh at Britney Spears cause personally I already think Miss. The structure of the song is different, it’s a totally different song, it’s HOT IMO. Overall I think this song is one of the most producer diverse songs she has come out with. Ashanti would only usually work with internal INC. artists which didnt leave her much room for creatiability, but now shes signed with Universal/Motown too and shes working with many main stream producers, I personally think that The Declaration will have some great works of production on it, it just depends on how she brings herself to the table. She is slated to work with JD, Pharrell Williams, Kayne West, Polow da Don, Swizz Beats, Bryan Michael Cox, Babyface, Marion Winans, & Robin Thicke. I know this song sounds very much like “Last Night” but thats because the same people produced it, think of how many other songs have very similar beats, I personally like the beat and the song, its cool for Ashanti I mean yea she does say “BABY” waaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy too much but every artist has their lil niche and signature sound so I aint gonna even hate on her for that. But them “Rain On Me” came out, and I loved that joint! So I went back and listed to her first CD, and I fell in love with it too.

Depending on the production on the final album, and the way the wind is blowing around that time, Ashanti will hit or miss.
