Maxwell – Pretty Wings (snippet)
Remember this post from last year? Well, finally the wishes of many have been granted. Maxwell is back with a new single, which he posted on his myspace page. Even though it’s a snippet, I think many will be satisfied just to see that Maxwell’s making a comeback. Six years later, after 2001′s Now, (an album that practically everyone I knew owned), Maxwell brings us “Pretty Wings” from his upcoming trilogy album, Black Summers’ Night.
Maxwell is still a great vocalist with one of the prettiest falsettos that I’ve ever heard. Hopefully, within the coming week, we will get the full version of “Pretty Wings,” and who knows, maybe even some other teaser songs from the album.

I am so happy Maxwell is coming back! I STILL til this day listen to his debut album “Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite”. I think that’s his best album ever.

#4 I feel you, Urban Hang Suite is by far his best LP in my opinion. Nonetheless, I love the other albums as well.

I remember when Maxwell first came on the scene with the fro, and a body from hell, every woman was in love with him including me. I’m a huge fan of Maxwell’s I hope it’s not true #8, I hope he’s not gay even though it wouldn’t benefit me any, it’s not like i will ever meet him in person. Anyway good luck Maxwell, I like you better with the fro.

I was listening to strictly gangsta hip hop when “ascension (don’t ever wonder)” dropped..now i’m a fan of R&B but that song made me a fan of the genre all over again..much respect to this man for enduring six years in oblivion i’m sure whatever has happened in his life is going to be relative to this trilogy get it..three discs one per every two years..very personal music..The return of the new mac is here.

I have always loved the vocal talent of Maxwell. Even though only a snippet was played, it is already clear that “Pretty Wings” is a beautiful ballad. I can’t wait to hear his new work. Can you hear the difference? : ) Too bad more money is spent promoting and purchasing that other stuff (i.e. J-Lo) and not real music (i.e. Maxwell). I think ya’ know what I mean. LLH
@ #30, what are you talking about aaliyah didn’t sing in falsetto? that was her signature style. she sang falsetto on practically all her songs. “i care 4 u”… you obviously don’t know what falsetto is. ronald isley, d’angelo, and minnie riperton were also people who sang in falsetto.
