The problem here is this song has a mellow kind of groove and while Beyonce is awesome on the upbeat dance tracks, she has a tendency to overdo it a bit. Maybe it’s because she’s been doing so many dance tracks, but she tends to show practically no subtlety so her style of singing ruins a lush track like this. To sum it up… the original-better, this remix-unnecessary.

Is it really called a “remix” when all you do is repeat the main vocalist’s verse and bridge…I love Beyonce and Justin but this is not what you call quality music. Love the original but don’t try to knock something out just to say you did it.

Then Bey added to it with her beautiful ability to harmonize, her soulful vocals without overdoing it. That run at the 2:36 mark was crazy and then her doing the Lenny Williams/R.Kelly Oh, Oh, Ohs was sick.

Another thing if Christina or Jennifer was on this song they would totally overdo this song. That is the difference between Bey and them. Bey has the ability to change her timbre, sing at different tempos with equal quality. Christina would hit notes that would be out the framework of the song(though it would be on key) and jennifer overbelt it to death like it is a power ballad which is not.
