Omarion & Bow Wow – Hoodstar
This new track, “Hoodstar” is taken from Bow Wow & Omarion’s duel album, Faceoff, which I have heard little information about it. “Hoodstar” is the rumored first single, not “Designated Driver,” which we featured in our Hot or Not section. I’m sorry, but I just can’t get into this song at all. When Bow Wow raps, it seems as though he always has something to prove to people, since he’s an “adult” now. I guess that’s the downside of being a child star. The production also overpowers Omarion, sometimes I can barely tell that he’s there.
So far, I’m not really getting what I need from these two on their joint venture. I’m hoping that they’ve worked with some good producers (and writers) to knock them out some better material. Maybe this stuff is just to create a buzz about their album, Faceoff, which is due out December 2007.
I must say I am a fan of both Omarion he can dance his butt off, and Bow Wow they are both hotties. I don’t think people can hate on Bow Wow for being young,and when you are young you will test the waters. I know everyone was expecting him and Ciara to get married, but lets face it he’s not ready for that he is still a young adult. Take Usher for instance at 28 he’s mature enough to be in a committed relationship that ends in marriage, because now he is a married man in other words he sowed his wild oats. Bow Wow this Angela Simmons thing may last or may not like I said he’s young and he should not have cheated on Ciara, but he’s was just not ready, it doesn’t mean he’s a bad person, just not mature enough yet.
bow wow needs to give it up. the imitating was cute when i was like 12/13. im 20 now and he’s still doing the same stuff. give it up. im not hating because lord knows i used to have the b2k and bow wow posters hangin up all in my room. but i just wish he could find out who he is. and stop being who he’s not. omarion is dope. i like him but should get wit jboog fizz and razb or whatever. bow wow should really figure out what direction he’s going because everyone’s headed in the right direction but him.

Omarion can sing. Don’t think he can’t sing just because he’s not a tenor like Chris Brown or Usher and all these other cats out here. He’s a baritone. And he is in a different space than Marques Houston. I know they’re play brothers, but let’s face it. O is rising. No one even knew MH made a video for that “Wonderful” song. And no, Omarion should not get back with B2K. He was gonna eventually outgrow them anyway. Think about it. What did J-Boog do other than talk in the background of their songs? All of a sudden he’s a thug with some tattoos and a rap label? This dude used to have spiked hair lol. And Raz-B? The name is sad enough. Lil’ Fizz put out two singles and no one can rap a verse from any one of them right now. O has two gold albums which is good for any male R&B artist not named Usher or Akon. He should’ve put out another single from “21″ though.
