LisaRaye celebrated her 40th Birthday this weekend out in Los Angeles (even though according to IMDB she is supposedly 41). She is pictured above with her husband, Premiere of the Turks and Caicos Island, Dr. Michael E. Misick.

Usher - Touch (snippet) - listen
If this is what we’ve been waiting for, then I have to be honest, I’m very disappointed. “Touch” is not anything that we haven’t heard before. It’s been 3 years since Usher’s last great album, Confessions and I’m just hoping that everything is going to pan out, because I will be highly disappointed if this new material isn’t greater than or equal to what he gave us on that last album. Maybe this is just a tease. I’m hoping that’s the case.

We all heard the rumor about Ashanti hiding from the paparazzi because she thought she was too big to get photographed. Well it looks like it was probably true. Word has it that she lost eight pounds on the Master Cleanse ‘diet’ over the summer to get in shape for upcoming promos. Some of you may remember that is the same ‘diet’ Beyonce used when she wanted to drop a few pounds for Dreamgirls. Read on:
ASHANTI lost eight pounds this summer (07) on the Master Cleanser diet. The pretty singer felt she needed to shape up for a run of promotional appearances for new film Resident Evil: Extinction and new album Declaration and so she spent a week eating nothing. She explains, “I did the lemon-pepper-maple syrup diet for seven days. “When I got really hungry, I ate fruit. I lost eight pounds and kept it off.” [SOURCE]
Most people call the Master Cleanse a diet, but it is in fact a detox that is supposed to cleanse your body from all the bad chemicals and foods you put into it [click here to read more about it]. Trust, the drink is nasty as hell and I tried the detox too. I didn’t even last 10 hours. LMAO! It was definitely not for me. Congrats to Ashanti though.
As most of you know, I spoke with Kanye West via the phone over the weekend. Since then, I’ve been getting a lot of emails asking when the interview with Kanye was going to be posted. Well I still have to transcribe it, so I’m shooting for this Friday or next week Monday at the latest.

‘BACKSTORY’ FROM HER SISTER LEHIA ACOX: Nailah (Nigh-eel-luh) Oliani (Oh-lee-ahni) Franklin, 28, has been missing from her University Village (near south side of Chicago) condo and from her job as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Eli Lilly since Tuesday evening, Sept. 18, 2007.
She has not been heard from since Tuesday afternoon/evening, missed an important “ride-around” meeting with her sales manager on Wednesday, and has not responded to numerous attempts to contact her via phone, email, text message and visits to her condo. Her company car, a BLACK 2005 Chevy Impala is missing [ CAR WAS FOUND ], as are her personal and work laptop computers.
Nailah is a graduate of 1997 Homewood-Flossmoor High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a successful professional, home owner, doting aunt, loving daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend and would NOT just up and disappear on her own, or go without contacting anyone for days.
