@67, you must not watch runway shows much or read fashion mags b/c i’ve seen PLENTY ugly supermodels and models who looked like men (even more than tameka). to be a supermodel, you just have to be striking and to our western eyes, alek is striking, has nothing to do with beauty b/c there are some beautiful ppl that aren’t really striking.

alek has a chubby face and i’ve never found chubby faces to be beautiful. just my opinion.
New Yorker is correct! To be a Supermodel you have to be striking, not conventionally beautiful. Kate Moss ain’t all that (with her lazy eye and flat face). But Alek Wek and Kate Moss always wear the clothes right, without the clothes looking like they wearing the girls.
