I think on SHORT manicured nails (as long as you have lady-like hands) dark polish can look very edgy & HOTT!! I didn’t say BLACK, but one of MY favorite shades is ANGORA PLUM by China Glaze. It’s very hard to find, but it is SO HOTT (to me). It’s not black, but it’s a VERY dark plum color & to some it may appear almost black.
One thing I will say is that it definitely is a look that doesn’t work for everyone & every ensemble.

Mary is pretty, no doubt, but she actually looks older and kinda worn for her age (in my opinion). I think all the things she’s been through are the reason for that. I say this because she’s actually 36! Most people think she’s in her 40′s cuz she looks like she is, but she was born in 71.
