@17 GLAAD is an organization not a community. GLAAD has been at odds with members of the black gay community a few times for their double standards in dealing with white entertainers vs. entertainers of color. The ATL black LGBT community organizes black pride in Atlanta. GLAAD may be in attendance as guests, who knows as not all GLAAD staffers are white, but they definitely are not running it. The celebrities who attend pride events are paid by the clubs where they perform or by the local pride organization if they perform at an event. Sometimes they just show up to support their peeps, be allies and/or show support to loyal fans.
