Mariah Carey is responding to Diddy’s fragrance challenge issued to her and several other female pop stars last week. At a tour of his “Unforgivable Mansion” last week, promoting his new fragrance, Diddy said:
“I send out a challenge…I challenge all of my female counterparts that have fragrances…that my fragrance is better than theirs. I’m a man and I know how women should smell!
“I like their fragrance but… I invite them to come out, meet me on a Saturday or Sunday on 5th Avenue and we do it like Pepsi blind smell taste. My fragrance is launching and we can see whose fragrance is better, mine or yours. And the loser has to pay for the shopping spree.”
Mariah responded earlier this week with:
“I heard about this competition, and I wish Puff all the best with his new fragrance, but I think we’re actually appealing to different types of women. M by Mariah Carey is about being unforgettable, not unforgivable. It’s not about a ménage à trois or a one night stand, it’s for the woman who wants the man to fall in love with her immediately, stay in love, and treat her like royalty.”

So I just got an email from a insider at the Usher fragrance party that went down last night. Of course I can’t reveal my sources, but this is what I was told:
…..Even though Usher’s momma was in attendance, she was near her (young) boo and younger son James the whole time. He [Usher] made a special point to shout-out his momma every chance a microphone came his way, dedicating the scents to her, blah blah blah. Tameka showed up hella late, hella preggers, though looking quite fab in 4-inch heels and a gray mini-dress.
Oh, and you could still slice the tension in the room with a knife when those two (momma & Meka) walked right past AND ignored each other a few times. They may have made nice for a camera or two, but don’t believe the hype.

I think the message is I’ll support you when you are doing right, otherwise, I aint for no mess! or it could be that usher asked her to come to the fragrance launch. I am sure if there is tension between the two women, the weeding would have been a bad place for it to potentially bubble over.

& I think the only reason Tameka became pregnant was to try & keep USHER out of the spot light for a little while, tie him down with the whole Marriage & baby thing. I think his mother is trying to be nice for the sake of her son. I thing Momma USHER is trying to be happy for her son since he “claims” he is happy with Tameka. I want to know how these women can wear these 4 inch heels while they are pregnant. I couldn’t get my feet into my high heels & stilettos past my 7th month & if I could it would have been the most uncomfortable & painful experience!
